Controlling FX plugins with MIDI in StudioOne

Is there a way to send MIDI from your keyboard to both the instrument and the effects placed on an Instrument Track?

If for example I load Massive on an instrument track, and then I insert a VST FX like Kilohearts SnapHeap on the same track, is it possible to play Massive from the keyboard and at the same time send the ModWheel or Aftertouch data to SnapHeap (in order to modulate certain parameters with the ModWheel/Aftertouch)?

yes you can. just assign the vst parameter you want to control to the knob.

But if I do it this way, the knob on my keyboard will control the vst parameter only when that vst is in focus, right?
This is not what I'm looking for. I want to be able to send all the MIDI data (CCs, velocity, aftertouch, etc) to the FX plugin.
