Who is charging you that much for shipping? There are definitely retailers that ship Keyscape free, even free overnight. Go see for yourself.
Free shipping to Germany? Are you kidding? LOL

I think this need some clarification. At JRR for example i would pay something around 300€ and that is nearly 50€ less then BestService. That's why i would prefer a download buy from US retailers.

I don't understand how you think that a price of 350€ is the same as 300€ but okay.. :)

But what about tax? Together with shipping it will be more expensive.
All shops which offers it in Germany seems to do it for 349€ (tax included of course here).
I ordered it also via best service. There is also musicstore but they have the worst support ever....
But most of them shipping it free. Boxed version is also better for me anyway!

That's why i asked for download version. LOL

But you know....there is no download option.
Only from Spectrasonics itself.
Maybe that will change after the first weeks or so :?:

My post was in reply to your statement that there is no free shipping in germany for KS which apparently is not true. Even if there was it would be more around 5-7 euro depending on the courier.
AFAIK Spectrasonics does not sell downloads through retailers-and why would they? Just to destroy their own price from the getgo?

i guess you need someone who explain you the difference between "to" and "in".

Also your 2nd point "destroy their prices" again LOL. Unbelievable.. Sometimes i really regret to post something when such strange replies are the result. :D

Hopefully we'll see some lower pricing later. That 15 gig C7 is not ideal, nor is that honkytonk upright IMO.

Don't think that will happen. Maybe in a year?
Also i saw everything now from "nice", "best ever" to "better options available".
Mine will ship today....
But 15GB sounds a bit over the top if the other 35 must share the rest :D
I even wished they hadn't included a C7 but 3 more rare unique or even prepared instruments.
Well, using Sample Tank 3 and Logic's intern acoustics it can only get better for me :hihi:

O.k. running it from my extern SSD (samsung T3 via usb 3) seems not possible. It takes minutes to load a patch or it even crash.
But it could be that it´s the SSD, Logic or OSX El Capitan fault :?
I also have such problems sometimes with bigger Kontakt libraries as well. Re-save batch and stuff doesn´t work here.
The only workaround is to save settings as Logic patch. Then it loads quick as it would be on my intern SSD (macbook pro 15" late 2013).
But with keyscape that doesn´t work as workaround. I mean it´s really big....when i load f.e. the C7 Grand into Omnisphere it shows me about 65GB (uncompressed i think) in this patch :o
So it seems i have to put everything else on my extern SSD and put the STEAM folder including Keyscape on my intern SSD :x

Edit: The same problem in Live (Lite) and Bitwig (8 track). So it can´t be the DAW´s fault.
Well....going for a beer better first before to try it again..... :hihi:

Edit 2: Forget about this post...i asked a general question in the "Where to start..." (or what the hell i´m doing?) forum
Cheers!

Soundcloud or not, this package sounds beautiful

Sure....but it´s crashing my system like no other tool. No way i can use it this way (still trying from my extern ssd, will see if it works when i put everything back to my intern ssd).
The sounds i was able to hear are great but yes.....not that much better than others really.
F.e. instruments like Una Corda and Attack EP88 seems to be better, loads faster from the same SSD and doesn´t crash the system :P
But it could be that i was even not able to load all the samples and i missed some details since i was not able to get out of the preview load time before it crash mostly.
So if you have enough keys you won´t need it maybe.
Great details and excellent for sound design what i was able to hear but for the price of very slow load times, preset switching and my macbook heat up like there is no tomorrow (my specs are fine for this normally).
Well, it could be user/system fault at the end so i will investigate further. I hope so....otherwise i put 350 bucks into the dustbin :ud:
First contact.....failed

Cinebient - I don't have Keyscape (yet) but do have Omni 2. Two possible things to try - there's a bunch of system settings regarding streaming, caches etc for Omni which I guess is also in Keyscape, and they'd be worth fiddling with. Second (pretty obvious I guess) is tech support, they're usually very quick to respond and very good. Yesterday I had an install issue with the Omni update (entirely my error), and they'd replied within an hour, and a follow up email in even less time.

Already have done that. I think they have much work now after Keyscape shipped so i try to be patient.
In the meantime i already thought about to delete my whole macbook back and start with a fresh device like i would resell it since it´s a bit of chaos there and i will never find all those dead files etc.
I also never made a fresh update and always update over the previous version. Time to start at zero maybe.
Just have to figure out what i have to save before.
I also played with all the settings inside Keyscape and Omnisphere but no way that it gets better.
It seems the Samsung SSD and El Capitan are the main issues since i have the same in all DAW´s and also with other libaries.
