So what's missing from Hive that makes it seem like support was "dropped"?
I guess it is because we're currently working on something different :clown:

Something completely different, maybe? ;) :P :clown:

Hahaha, no, I meant this differently. I meant we're working on something else other than Hive. We're working on Repro, and before that we worked on NKS and before that we worked on that big maintenance update. So that's what we've done since we released Hive. There's also some stuff for Hive happening, but nothing we could show just yet

I've seen plenty of documentaries and sci-fi flicks,
and I never once associated Hive with any space ship,
real or imagined. And the Hive sounds would have had to be
exceedingly mundane in order to distracted/bored enough
to contemplate whether or not spacecraft designers
have stolen concepts from the U-he graphics designers.

After thinking about Hive gui, without looking at it,
I would associate it with chemistry, instead of space travel.
Cheers
Modern trance is no more associated with spaceships or chemistry or any other sci-fi things, it's all about lazer beams, half-naked chicks, djs wearing posh sunglasses and all that (please DON'T consider this when making alternative GUI for Hive).

With the public beta launch. And this time it'll end at the day of actual release (the curse of having resellers).

We're already 3 weeks behind with an internal alpha though. We still hope to do a short but intense public beta from mid till end of November (this year).

Trance anyway died at the end of the 90'
There is just "EDM" now :hihi:
Most trance tracks are not "trancey" these days.
They are punchy and crunchy Spire(d) too much

I believe it happened in the second half of 00's but nevermind, up to now is has been essentially dead for ages (excluding psy). And while I think Spire is one of the best sounding softsynths, its tendency to sound overly harsh/bright indeed makes modern EDM even less listenable.

Well, i will take the unpopular position here, and say that nowadays productions are superior than they were 10-15 years ago. :) The music itself has gone downwards though, that is true, at least for the mainstream. There's still people producing some rather oldschool tunes, it's just that many of the "big names" of yesterday adjusted to the current mainstream. AFAIC.

Anyway, offtopic as this should be about RePro. :)

This is probably the wrong thread, but what do you guys think of this as a demo track?
