Sylenth1 has fewer rabbit holes (basically none) but I don't think you understand what that means.

i don't like switching between tabs in sylenth, i prefer the one page design of hive much more . Also the mod matrix is superior (simple drag and more options).

But it has a bear cave. Distortion. It can sound really good in synergy with other things but you can easily spend few hours finetuning it to the rest of the patch it cause few percents (counter)clokswise and it turns into total crap.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

But the mod matrix in Hive has pages...

if you run out of what is available for modulation in one tab or from the GUI itself, it's probably worth to click there once.

ETA for new Hive skin?

A more complex synth architecture requires the use of tabs, there's no way around that really. Hive can only go without that due to it's comparatively simple architecture, same with Sylenth. Hence i don't really mind tabs at all, and it's not an argument for or against a synth for me. Frankly, i think that both synths are overpriced for what they do, considering what other synths offer for roughly the same price. Yes, i know, another one of those arguments to hang on to, but that's just how it is. Just look what other synths in that price region have to offer, and those offer good sound AND lots of additional features.

i can only speak for myself, and i don't like the tabbing in sylenth. If it's no problem for you, ok. Each to their own. For me Hives GUI is way superior and faster. Makes more fun to use.

Why don't you go to the KVR product rankings and "ctrl-F" for Hive, then ponder why you get the results you get.

Some folks seem to have a sense that this is a kind of injustice, or a proof of the mediocrity of the masses, or whatever. Not true.

And if all that mattered were features, everyone would use swiss army knives and ka-bar would be out of business. And yet that's not the reality we inhabit.

Sylenth'S LFO's go into audio rate with a much faster control update rate than Hive.

for people who's conception of the universe doesn't extend past kvr this is actually probably true

Hive is Hive, Sylenth is Sylenth. Why make it a competition? Use the one you like or get both!

Just cause you find something a rabbit hole doesn't mean someone else does
