How will saving presets work? Will wavetables be embedded into the preset or will we have to have the .wav file on hand?

the Wavetables will be imported to the library
You can however take your presets and create an own "Expansion" with them, containing every sample etc... which is used. This Expansion you can sell or give to friends etc.

You can also do pretty cool cinematic stuff, which will be showed in a seperate demo

As I've said, I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of music, but to my ears it sounds exactly the way it should sound. So I think the synth will be equally great for my purposes.

Looking forward to hear the cinematic demo. I guess my question "should I buy Serum or Icarus" will be closed after that

Yes it's probably expensive:
a) It's a Nexus-killer
b) Phalanx is also relative expensive

BTW Vengeance have ads all over their Youtube-video's. I find it a bit strange that I have to watch ads of other companies to see a demonstration of a Vengeance product. Well, they know how to make money
