You need to have the full version of Kontakt, and what you see is in demo mode is probably the full version of Kontakt, not the CoreBass Pear.
From the Orange Tree Samples webpage: "Full version of Kontakt Required"

Yes, I learned that the hard way.
They want me to pay $399 for the full version of Kontakt just so I can use their $59 bass instrument.
I got a refund and will be buying Acoustic Bass Premier 2, if it is compatible with the free Kontakt.

Greg states this very clearly in the product page, right under the title of the product: "Full version of Kontakt required"bilobass16 wrote:Yes, I learned that the hard way.
You're confusing Native Instruments with Orange Tree Samples here. They're two complete separate companies.bilobass16 wrote:They want me to pay $399 for the full version of Kontakt just so I can use their $59 bass instrument.
OTS uses NI's Kontakt sampler format for their libraries, for which you need the license for full Kontakt. For some libraries, like the Evolution Strawberry, they acquired Kontakt Player licenses from NI. They didn't order any for CoreBass Pear and that's why you paid only 59$ for it. If it had been a Kontakt Player library, you would've had to pay likely twice as much.
I'm surprised you even got a refund from Greg.bilobass16 wrote:I got a refund and will be buying Acoustic Bass Premier 2, if it is compatible with the free Kontakt.
I don't know anything about Premiere Sound Factory or have ever heard about their Aoustic Bass Premier, which is not a Player product either, as far as I can tell. Kontakt Player products have a light blue stamp in the package that reads "Powered by Kontakt Player".
Edit: Thanks to starflakeprj for correction.*
Cheapest option I see is buying the standalone (non-bundle) version of Kontakt, which retails for 250e on NI's site.
Or put your faith in the possibility of NI having a Winter/Autumn/Summer of Sound-sale where you can get Komplete Crossgrade for 200e. You'll need to own and register a Kontakt Player-product (not Core Bass or Acoustic Bass Premiere) or Sennheiser's free Drum'ica to qualify for a crossgrade.
Nevertheless, Kontakt is a pretty much a must-buy for anyone working with sample libraries. Rather than having to rely on expensive Kontakt Player libraries, invest in Kontakt if you have the money. It's probably more economical in the long run.

But Komplete Select does not include the full version of Kontakt..Aryaroman wrote:Get Komplete 11 Select. It's only 199e and you'll need Kontakt anyway at some point.

It doesn't? Oh s**t, I see it doesn't. Should've known that was too cheap to be true.starflakeprj wrote:But Komplete Select does not include the full version of Kontakt..Aryaroman wrote:Get Komplete 11 Select. It's only 199e and you'll need Kontakt anyway at some point.

User error usually is "the hard way".bilobass16 wrote:Yes, I learned that the hard way.

Next time, learn the easy way by doing some research on what you're buying.
