Keyscape - Collector Keyboards

Couple questions for those who have keyscape:
-I have heard it mentioned that there are some bad notes in the lower registers on the C7 that stick out from the rest. Have other people noticed this? Anyone care to post an example that shows this?
-I've noticed from YouTube demos that the wing upright sometimes sounds extremely clicky, but sometimes not. I think it's in the attack. Is this adjustable? Or is it only really obvious in some notes?

Thanks!

I think there is indeed something strange with some notes on a few of the models. It's like on a few notes there is a kind of clipping in the round robin or so, even when i put a limiter (really needed with Keyscape) on it.
In general a lot patches seems also a bit over the top. Chords can clip really bad. Maybe they gone to far here?
Maybe it's supposed to do that?
Maybe it's in the FX?
I will try to figure out a bit more.
It's version 1.0, updates will come.
But in general it sounds just incredible deep.
I tryed to make a huge multi but even with 1024 samples buffer and processing buffer set to large i can just use 4 parts (better 3).
I have not the fastest machine but it sucks some CPU for sure and i'm back to OSX mavericks and an older Logic version without multi-core support.
So it might be work better for others.
The duo patches are really fantastic and i think i will create a bunch myself....maybe a few not so dominant ones :)

After i made a few custom velocity curves for my Seaboard it's fine. Maybe a few notes in the higher velocity range might be over top.
Whatever, i'm not a really a good player yet but what i experienced is that the playability is the best from all tools i used yet.
Great players can make everything sound good but a great instrument can make a mediocre player like me sound much better :clown:

Anyone having issues registering Keyscape in Omnisphere 2?
There is an error code displayed in the challenge field and the registration URL is not clickable. My Trilian works perfectly inside Omni and both Omnisphere and Keyscape are fine on their own.
Any idea what causes this?
(I've contacted Spectrasonics support as well, but I figured some around here had experienced something similar?)

Just in case....you are on the latest Omnisphere 2.3? (Which was available on Keyscape release too).
I had no problem with Keyscape in Omnisphere.

Edit: I saw you already know this in the beginning of this thread. uuupps

This has been brought up a few times on our Facebook page. There are two things to make sure of.

1. Make sure you are using the latest updates for Omnisphere 2 (2.3.0h software software and 2.3.0c patch library).

2. You will need to re-authorize Omnisphere 2, not Keyscape in order to make it work.

That should have you up and running :)

Thanks for replying James.
However, I can't re-authorize Omnisphere because of the somewhat static error code (Error 643A2) in the challenge code box. It won't go away so I cannot get a response code withing pasting the challenge code since it's not there.
I am awaiting the answer from the support team as well

Hopefully those issues will be addressed in a soon to come update.

So....after i gone trough all patches, create a few own in Omnisphere and experimented with some better FX like Replika XT delay and B2 reverb on the dry sound sources.... :tu: :tu: :tu:
I sound now like a fanboy maybe but i can say for sure now that that was the best spend money ever. Oh, i love the Wing Tack Piano so much and there are some other models with such a great character.
It´s lacking maybe some things like una corda, half pedaling and stuff but within Omnisphere you can make your own 10 pedal piano if you want :D
I don´t need them to sound like real pianos, they sound even better for me than that.
Now i hope they already have another thing in the pipeline which they started 9 years ago :hihi:
Some Guitars, Strings and some more exotic stuff on top please.
End of the story.....

Well damn. I've been listening to the audio demos on the site and I'm just loving the sounds. I'll definitely be buying in the near future.

So annoying that the only download version is from Spectrasonics which is the most expensive option, it's actually cheaper to buy the boxed version in the UK.

I've not exactly had the opposite experience - the demos do sound fantastic - but what I've been doing on and off is playing and listening again to what I have, and what I under-use. Damn, if The Grandeur doesn't sound like a fine piano, which I definitely under-use. Now I know that all the good stuff I have doesn't add up to Keyscape. I do want Keyscape, and I want it in Omni. But its very hard to shake the notion that it's nice-to-have, certainly not need-to-have, for me. It feels a bit decadant. But at least I'm pretty confident that if I owned it, it would get used - I can't imagine it being one of those virtual dust-gatherers. Their stuff has earned its worth many times over for me, and I know this would too.

I've always been a big fan of Spectrasonics' no sale policy. It's really up front and straightforward. But in this case, I know that a sale would tip me over the edge in an instant. I have no issue with the price, its more than fair for what you get - it's just one of those sorts of products where you need a nudge.

I've had a similar internal struggle where I've thought ok wait, what are all the pianos and keyboard I have?... And I look through various Kontakt instrument folders and try to figure out if this would add that much. But I've come to the conclusion that in addition to sound quality, it's also about workflow in choosing the right sound. I love the ability to swap out the sound sources and have the different models be so easy to call up with different effect stacks, all of which are modulatable in Omni. But I also feel like the difference in sound will be similar to opening a scarbee bass guitar in Kontakt and opening a Trilian bass. For me the trilian basses just kill my other basses.
