Audio pan snaps to full left ??

I am new to Cubase SX/SL

My audio tracks are composed of a few 3 bar events.

I find that Cubase will snap my panning to far left (L) and I have to reset it to center (C)

Missing something here Im sure

(Song imported from VST maybe that has significance here>?)
