I was beginning to think it would never happen. Great news!audio/fault wrote:it's finally 64bit for osx

+1 Looks greatSampleScience wrote:My favorite free sampler, but at this point I'm tired of updating my plugins. I recently moved my studio to another computer and it's never ending. I'll update later even though I dig the new GUI a lot. They did a very good job on it!
I think this is actually v2.0 of Zampler
But I am amazed that Synapse Audio has time to devote to updating a freebie, when they can't get the Legend ready for VST/AU

Looking at the screenshot Synapse isn't on the GUI. I wonder if delamar have taken over development of Zampler?
Might explain the delay with the new version.
Scratch that, delamar.de is another magazine so probably unlikely.

I see Synapse in big letters just below the main window in the GUIsprnva wrote:Looking at the screenshot Synapse isn't on the GUI.

Yup, looks like Beat and delamar now are co-publishers of Zamplersprnva wrote:Scratch that, delamar.de is another magazine so probably unlikely.

And I think the Black Venom pack is new, to celebrate the v2.0 release ?

The GUI.

I wouldn't really call it a sampler, it is a sample player (SFZ only)SampleScience wrote:My favorite free sampler
The controls can be used to shape the sound of patches, but there is no chance edit the actual samples being played in Zampler, like cutting, or setting start or end points.

Checking it out, I can't find any difference between the earlier version and the new version, except the GUI design, and that is now 64 bit for OSX also.
The GUI is not even bigger, v2 is exactly as big as v1
There are no new filter modes, LFO modes, Effects, v2 has just the same as v1

I'm not sure why this is being billed as "Zampler 2.0", it's actually version 1.05. As far as I know the only changes are the new skin, updated marketing links (Sample Shop/Beat/Delamar) and the additional OSX 64-bit format.
I don't believe there have been any functional changes. Apparently Synapse have been "too busy" on some other project, whatever that is

Me neither, I prefer the new GUI to the old but that is hardly something that makes a plug go from v1 to v2swatwork wrote:I'm not sure why this is being billed as "Zampler 2.0", it's actually version 1.05.
I love the Phaser/Chorus in Zampler, among the best I have ever heard. If they only could put that out as a separate plug in itself

Did you check that the sfz file was actually there? It should be in the sub-folder "Yamaha CS-40M" (i.e. one level below the bank file) with all the wav files.Chris-S wrote:The fxb bank files for the Beat sample packs don't work for me.

Looking at it that way, makes me happybpblog wrote:The core functionality hasn’t changed at all, so the new version should remain fully compatible with your old Zampler projects, regardless of the platform.
