Will spend today with it.. could we persuade you to 'finish' those BT patches please?
Thanks

Actually the Pichbend in The Legend will always do pitchbend, nothing else. You could just adjust the PB range in the advanced setings and it is best to adjust this to your own liking anyway.

The Modwheel (and/or MW parameter in teh GUI) always controls the Osc3/Noise modulation (amounts of both from the Mod mix knob) and the behavior of the Modwheel could be adjusted in the advanced settings too (as i alraedy mentioned today).
You coudl try tio use automation to also use the Modwheel for othe rparameters but inside The Legend (And in teh saved patches) it acts for settings the mod amount (like in the real thing while in the plugin you could save the MW setting with the patch).

Thanks Ingo. In my 3 minute use I couldnt quite get the pitchwheel paramater to go where I want it to (typically +/-2) either using drag up and down, double clicking to enter directly or shift mouse wheel. It kept wanting to go to +/-7.. Today will spend the time with it.
Thanks

had a try with this synth but tbh gforce minimonsta is still a killer for me in terms of what can be done with this sort of moogish sound. i know its all subjective but this is just my two cents.

Had Minimonsta in the past tbut sold it not too long after buying it. In terms of a proper Minimoog emulation both The Legend and Monark are currently the best by far.

Also had a few other GForce synths in the past. The only one i currently own is Oddity 2. As this is an emulation of an Odyssey a direct comparison to The Legend would be quite pointless.

I just briefly compared Legend to Monark, and, apart from the envelopes, and a bit of "general" sound, they almost sound identical. Legend has slightly "softer", and more "stump" envelopes, like all the Synapse synths, which make them a bit less punchier, and snappier. Monark has some more beef and punch there. Also, the general sound of Monark seems a bit beefier. The filters are slightly different, in terms of filter drive, and resonance behavior on high settings (Monark has more drive by efault, you can make up for that though in Legend, on the backpanel settings, if "drive" is your kind of thing). Those are just slight differences though. The oscillators sound very similar, obviously.

There's not really much between them, i would say in terms of snappiness, and more beef, Monark has a slight advantage. The question is, if that is really relevant to most people. At the very least, you won't be doing anything wrong, if you opt for the one of the other.

hmm...minimum specs for the win vst is XP and 32bit is available. These guys will stay in business.

but how does it compare CPU efficiency-wise to great free synths like Charlatan, Synth1, PG8X and Dexed?

Dunno'... But it takes them apart sound wise (imo).

Download the demo and see for yourself.

CPU consumption is surprisingly low for the offered sound quality (or, detail) IMO.
