Thought I should give a try to Hive and downloaded the demo, installed it but right from the start I get some crackling noises in the left monitor, even with the init preset. As soon as I play any number of notes.
Btw, it's not driver issue cause other synths work without any problems and the cpu is not spiking.

No, I know what demo noise is and that comes from time to time. This noise comes up every time I play something, as soon as I hit a key I get like crackling noise only from left speaker.

@ nIGhT-SoN: Hm, that's odd. I take it that you tried other synths after that experience, to eliminate the possibility of a defect of the speaker?

I've tried it in SaviHost wanted a quick look. I'll try in Studio One to see if it does the same.
@chk071, sure. I'm listening to music right now, no problems at all with speakers. I'll attach a recording in a minute made with the phone.

Yes, and I even quoted it. Which begs the question. Did you even read my post?bmanic wrote:Wow.. the place you mod must be a real paradise. I thought it was a requirement for mods to be able to read. Did you actually read what chk071 wrote? He didn't break any rules what so ever.mcnoone wrote: Be thankful I'm not a mod, or you'd be gone for that.
He discussed and guided everyone to search for cracked software.
That is against the rules.

Ouch, the only reason for me being a legit software user so far is that I didn't know that there is such a thing as Google where you may find the cracks. Chk071 has just opened my eyes to the evil side of things.mcnoone wrote: He discussed and guided everyone to search for cracked software.

Lol.
Well, mcnoone is just trying to twist me into something anyway. Just ignore that. Even when you just Google for "Xfer Serum" or "u-he Hive", you usually get crack results. It's the downside of the "free" internet.

Oh by the way, I hated that demo noise! It gives the impression that Hive is harsh sounding! I know it is like in the unconscious mind!
I'm glad that I bought though and I ignored this feeling, because it really sounds smooth and nice with low cpu usage (not very, but it is low). Actually, I found that I could have great pads with just 10% of cpu usage! while simple nice bass can be only about 3%. So it is similar to Dune 2 in that

No, he didn't. You really should learn to read other people's posts.mcnoone wrote:He discussed and guided everyone to search for cracked software.
He just said, that Hive is listed in such google seach, and it's a kind of indicator of said plugin's popularity.
For example googling "sylenth1 crack" returns 158 000 hits. "uhe hive crack" only 13 800.
At least in my side of internet
Imho relevant to the discussion, but maybe not quite representative and truthful. Sylenth is older afair.
If there is no pirated warez, it could mean it's a. unpopular (most likely), b. tough to crack (happens), c. dev is kind of respected by the crackers (also happens
