Have checked cpu with win 7, 64bit, mulab 6 UL 64 bit, Reaktor 6.03:
- I have no really "spikes" in cpu, but can say that master snapshots 001 takes in all flex lower cpu (there is no % in mulab, just some bars), around 3 to 4 bars, then the other master snapshots
- mastersnapshots 002 takes up to twice as much cpu in nearly all presets, around 5 to 6 bars in average

Same issue persists with your samples.could you please make another test with the original samples? I cant imagine it is related to it, but there is a small chance.

thx guys!
@tatanka:
thats normal, cause in MS 1 the global FX is off, in the other MS it is on per default. If you switch this in all MS on (or off) it should be mostly an equal cpu-usage (depending on the active units and the used fx, some needs more, some less cpu).
(btw: ypu can read the cpu-usage in clear directly from the reaktor-header (right-hand)).
@secret
Hm, pitty, that was just a straw to find a logical explanation.
However maybe next week there will come an update for TL and i hope this behavior
will disappear in the same magic way as it appears in some Reaktor/OS constellations.
(so u use just the vibrations (press-noises...) from the table and that goes transmitted to the phone, right?)

Exactly! Phone picks up and converts to percussive bloops!(so u use just the vibrations (press-noises...) from the table and that goes transmitted to the phone, right?)

In answer to your email...
... i'm using lots of "concrète" sounds with TL as I find musical / tonal stuff doesn't work so well. That being the case I prefer stuff that is percussive, soundscape or phonographic in nature.

@secret:
If i got you right, you dont like/need the TL-category "chords", "pads" - you prefer "move", "surreal", "industrial", "outdoor"... is that right?
Too all others:
TL 1.1 will come with a new factory-sample-library (mini-x-pander, 2x128 = A/C and B/D share the same waves).
The first question is: with what kind of sounds should i feed this?
please answer with category-names (as i used in the old TL).
Which category do you like and which not so much?
The second question is: should i split the "packs" into 2 separate "monoliths" like all outdoor for A/C and all synths/instruments for B/D.
Third question is: what kind of outdoor do you prefer?
- wind/weather/water
- divers atmos
- evreyday-sounds (what is the english phrase for this???)
- animals
- human
- traffic / towns
- industrial
- SFX
And last: most waves are very "dry" (not/only gentle proceeded).
Should i keep this? I think TL offers enough possibilities to "wet" it, as you want, but out-of-box, the waves often sound "naked".
The main question is: do you prefer "stunning sounds" or sounds for work with?
Thanks!

My main use would be for the construction of "soundscapes" but I would like to "trigger" them with notes (as mentioned before).
For this purpose a such a split.
I think I would prefer "dry" sounds and use inbuilt Effects or PD after it.

would make sense for me.The second question is: should i split the "packs" into 2 separate "monoliths" like all outdoor for A/C and all synths/instruments for B/D.

Yes I think an easier way to add samples would be useful.

Hmm, thats not on me:secretkillerofnames wrote:Yes I think an easier way to add samples would be useful.Musical Gym wrote: also load own custom wav/sounds via drag/drop or import
All Reaktor (TL) <> HDD actions are by NI/Reaktor itself, there is no possibility (no modul) for me to advance it.
But i think "The quick and dirty way" (as shown in the video) is the shortest possible way to replace a sample (juts right-click on the grey beam > replace current sample > move in the HDD-dialog-box to the path you want... - so, whats your sugesstion, how could i short this?????
The only matter: you dont have to set Reaktor/TL in edit-mode, the "quick and dirty replacement" is also possible in normal view! (sorry, my fault in the video;: the edit-mode is only necessary if you go the "advanced way", but an on-the-fly-replacement is also possible in normal (play) mode).
(well, this ugly grey beam is unfortunately necessary, no way to replace it by keep this functionality... )
And yeah, "quick and dirty-replacements" also inherits the behavior from it "parents" (Loop on = yes, Loop-direction = alternate (forwards/backwards/forwards...) i guess in 80% this is exactly what you want!
So beside all technically possibilities: how could this be shorter? (yes, with special-Keys, but Reaktor does not support eg. "cmd/alt/ctrl...+1 = replace current sample" in unit A).
My whole portfolio would be another if special-keys ( by computer-Keybord or by midi note/CC ) would be supported... this would open an own universe for gui-stunts... but unfortunately it is not possible, so please be so pleasant and ask NI directly for an "advanced mouse-modul" which allows stunts like this (also for a HDD-interactive-modul) and also for a gui-mask-module (which allows to "mask" default-gui-elements with own special pictures/frame-animations and which is feed by the module "behind")... : so far, i´m the lonely-wolf-caller for this!!!
(this modules would be a real reason for me to switch to R6).

I´m currently brainstorming of this issue (i have some ideas) and it will sooner/later implement.tatanka wrote:My main use would be for the construction of "soundscapes" but I would like to "trigger" them with notes (as mentioned before).
But not in v 1.1!
I could only offer a fast-hack like all C-notes (dosnt matter which octave) only trigger generator A, all D-notes triggers only generator-B and so on... (and "chords will trigger more generators).
I guess this is just one concentrate-afternoon-work, so its possibly to implement before upload v 1.1.
Would you accept this as an "interim-solution" before the real trigger-system (maybe with v 1.3 / v 1.5... i dont know) will come?

Interesting alternative if its possible without much effort, would lead at least to an interesting "random" effect with my existing midi-tracks and could of course be used with a new written midi track to use it in a "planned" way.
But should NOT !!! replace existing "trigger on/trigger off" and must be switchable like the existing trigger too.

Maybe it's a Reaktor 6 only thing but this is what I feel you could aim for...DJ-Superherpes wrote: Hmm, thats not on me:

Is there something special going on here with Skanner XT that you can't access in regular Reaktor?

There is now an option with 3 modi for exactly this.tatanka wrote:....But should NOT !!! replace existing "trigger on/trigger off" and must be switchable like the existing trigger too.
@secret:
This sample-drag&drop is in TL possible, BUT: all samples "imported" by this way get to the place #127, with taking no consideration, which the current selected slot is - so in fact its unusable.
I only have a demo of "SKANNER" so i cannot see what happen inside - but i guess "skanner" is using 12 sampler-modules (see view B) and there seems to be only a single slot in each (#127).
TL offers the whole slot-range in each sampler-modul, so, this drag&drop-import donst work proper (its a bug by NI inside the sampler-modules, not by me).
