Maybe he has a serious problem, who knows!
Well, I hope he is good and safe and the same for his country.

Last post of Bulent seems at KVR to be around 3 months ago so this is indeed strange.
On the other hand there are still new posts at their Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/synthmastersoftsynth
One of those posts is about a workshop by Bulent done in October 14th.

Looks like he's been busy working on a dumbed down synth called SM 1, with a simplified but more familiar interface (I assume this is not the final skin).

Probably the result of so many people loudly complaining about the current interface.
Which I find stupid, because the current one has many more graphics, which is very helpful. Now they are simply removed and only the knobs are remaining in SM1.
As for Bulent not appearing, I've complained several times that he hardly ever answers questions in his own forum. Still, being completely absent for 3 months is a bit strange if not worrying.
I hope he isn't threatened by the current regime. If he is an academic (I believe he has ties with university, that's what I gathered from his bio on his website), unfortunately, president turned dictator Erdogan has sacked thousands of them. And criticizing the regime is pretty much makes you an enemy of the state.

Mr. B tends to show up for long stretches of time when he introduces a new product or has announcements and then the team tends to disappear when hard at work on new products. He will pop his head up soon with synth master one hopefully. I know they are also in heavy development with synth master 3.0. So they are very, very busy right now I would imagine. They have some killer stuff lined up though from my understanding. Synth master one looks like a blast to me. I'm interested. Synth master 3.0 is supposed to have all kinds of cool crap like a grain filter in store.

I highly doubt that it had to do with that. Or that it even was an attempted coup.redplum wrote:Bulent became very quiet after the attempted coup in his country.

Indeed, it was more like a successful coup.chk071 wrote:I highly doubt that it had to do with that. Or that it even was an attempted coup.redplum wrote:Bulent became very quiet after the attempted coup in his country.

Last I heard is that he lives in the USA now. I know he was just recently working on SM1 and parts of SM 3.0, probably way too busy at the moment.EnGee wrote:Maybe he has a serious problem, who knows!

I really don't know!
There's a possibility he's on vacation. Well, I hope and like to suppose the positive in such situations.

Hey guys,
I'm back after a long while. The reason I've been absent on KVR was because I am terribly busy for the past couple of months. First, there was an international move from Boston to Ankara take ate away all of time in June, and then I started working on SynthMaster One.
For those of you who hang out on Facebook, I've been active though. and our FB page is active and our support is active as expected. Gercek has been answering tens of questions per day we receive from our users (Our issue database has reaches issue #8930 so yes we ARE busy!)

Yes the inteface is a "KeepItSimpleShort" style, but the synth is still very powerful. The skin is our "protytype" skin so yes it is NOT the final one! We're gonna work with Satyatunes and also Voger Design for SM One skins.lolilol1975 wrote:Looks like he's been busy working on a dumbed down synth called SM 1, with a simplified but more familiar interface (I assume this is not the final skin).

There are a couple of new features in SynthMaster One:
Oscillators: Osc voices/unison is increased to 16. Each osc has a dedicated SubOscillator which can work as a Sub, Ring modulator, Amplitude modulator, Phase modulator or Frequency modulator.
We sampled a lot of waveforms / wavetables / noise from analog synths. They'll be part of SynthMaster One's factory content.
We added support for wavetable synthesis using wave files which contain multiple periods. I guess this was the way other synths like Massive, Serum etc load wavetables. Since SM One will be a KISS type of synth, editing wavetables wont be part of it, but you'll be use WAV files that contain wavetables
LFOs: We simplified LFO triggering. There are 4 trigger types: Global, Single, Poly or Random. (Random is also poly but just starts at a random phase). We add S&H to LFOs. and you can choose any waveforms for the LFOs.
iOS App: Yes it'll be available as an iOS app as well. I am guessing it should be released sometime in Spring 2017.

Nice of you to check in Mr. B. I like the looks of this SM one. It looks like a lot of fun to play. Hopefully you keep up the sound quality of the full synth master. I'll be watching.
