Very different characters, I like both (I tend to lean to Sie-Q more cause it's new and sounds awesome! ), one won't replace each other, that's for sure!
Sie-Q takes more CPU but not a hog and has a tiny latency and ...it's iLok-ed
Vista and 32 bits ? You're looking for trouble, man. That's about the worst OS on the market right now and probably the least tested by software editors. Even if it's not the best (still think W7 is less better), upgrading to W10 (and 64 bits) will benefit you a lot in the long term.do_androids_dream wrote:In Reaper (vista 32 bit) I'm getting:

You'll need to activate Sie-Q to your iLok USB key on an internet-enabled computer. I'm not sure why Decapitator stopped working - you may need to "synchronize" your iLok in the iLok License Manager on an internet-enabled computer. Bitwig has given us trouble with scanning plug-ins in the past, so if this issue persists, please send us a message via our support form: soundtoys.com/forms/support.bite_me wrote:For me, installing is a pain!
Since I upgraded, Bitwig doesn´t recognize Decapitator any more. Also Sie-Q.
When I load the rack, everything is there. I´m strictly offline
with my music pc and the ilok manager doesn´t let me sign in.
So much hastle for one eq plugin...![]()
Rack opens Sie-Q, as a single plugin I cannot activate it due to the missing internet connection.
Our installers are no longer built to run in Vista or XP. Sorry!do_androids_dream wrote:In Reaper (vista 32 bit) I'm getting:

..error message upon plugin scan for SieQ - then Reaper crashes. Anyone else encountered this?
It's activated in the ilok license manager fine.
