I personally wouldn't pay over $99 for this synth, for all those people stating "$130-$150" is a good price range, that's ridiculous lmao. The Equilibrium price for this would be from $80-$120

Based on which competing product's price exactly? Just a reminder: Less complex synths like Spire ($189), or Sylenth1 ($139) or Hive ($149) cost quite a bit more than what you were asking for.BennyLucassi wrote:I personally wouldn't pay over $99 for this synth, for all those people stating "$130-$150" is a good price range, that's ridiculous lmao. The market will no doubt quickly decide if 250 USD is a reasonable price for what Rapid offers.
Personally, I might be tempted at $149, max. Pay another 100 bucks on top? No way. There's plenty of competition around and it's likely to increase.
It's perhaps natural that a new company has a somewhat inflated idea of what their brainchild should be 'worth'. Only, the company doesn't decide that – the market does.

Re UVI Falcon
Sorry, but no. Still 349 euro. If You have a crossgrade eligible product, it doesn't mean anyone has.trusampler wrote:Just go on their website, add it to cart - you'll get the crossgrade price - Boom! And a $100.00 voucher too

The UI is not bad at all, in fact it is very well organized, the problem are the textures and overall aesthetic, a little bit "cartoonish" for my taste, looks date IMHO.

What's the competition? I see Avenger. Nexus won't count, as it doesn't feature a fully-fledged synthesis section.Spitfire31 wrote: Personally, I might be tempted at $149, max. Pay another 100 bucks on top? No way. There's plenty of competition around and it's likely to increase.

And where better to find out roughly speaking than posting a thread on a forum frequented by your market.Spitfire31 wrote:The market will no doubt quickly decide if 250 USD is a reasonable price for what Rapid offers.

I think probably the price is realistically in the 150€ area but this is is a crowded area price wise especially when discounts, sales. JRR, group, or coupon codes etc. are applied. It is also swiftly moving away from impulse purchase territory and into "This synth is selling well and is highly respected online" territory which this synth has yet to prove. A demo has not even been released and the developer has no know product history track record. People will want to review it no doubt and critique etc. and feature request and question before buying.
I think people need a demo to determine whether it will work for them, this is quite important when choosing a synth.
I would personally price it as a compromise between my pride and creating a good market buzz, nice feeling in the customer that they received value.

What's the competition? Let's see:chk071 wrote:What's the competition? I see Avenger. UVI Falcon (this actually is no competitor - it kills any competition)
Waldorf Nave
Synapse DUNE 2
Tone 2 Icarus
Wolfgang Palm synths
NI Massive
Xfer Serum
Waves Codex
I think we can also include Blue II, to be fair, although this one isn't exactly a wavetable synth.
And if you go for just the EDM sounds, then this list grows exponentially. I don't even count Avenger because it still doesn't exist, but that's another absurdly priced synth.

Mmh... i was somehoow under the impression that, like Avenger, this synth features a drum section as well, but i guess what can be seen in the GUI shots is just the different layers, with names. Anyway, this is still rather in Dune 2's or Icarus' league than in Spire's, Hive's or Sylenth1's, feature wise, and look how much those already cost. I guess, one can be happy if it will cost $149 in the end, let alone, what others suggested, under $100....fmr wrote:What's the competition? Let's see:chk071 wrote:What's the competition? Anyway, if Beat announced it for 250 €, i guess there's a reason for that. Maybe the OP can clear that up.
