Do you mean the patch named in the top display (the LED) or in the patch selection panel ? No problem with reading the fonts here, but the patch name in the main panel sometimes has fat fonts and sometimes skinny ones. Is that normal ?
I mean the patch names in the top display (LED). The font should be Bold, IMO. I didn't say there is a problem reading the names, just that the font looks thin the way it is.

Regarding the main panel, do you mean the patch list window?

The good news is it's all fixable from the script file but it might be a labour of love. For example:

CONTROL type='Slider' name='Slider 1599' bounds='44.00 30.00 26.00 150.00' parent='Pane 1065' layerMask='1'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='colours' id='0' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='colours' id='1' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='colours' id='2' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='graphics' id='0' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='graphics' id='1' value='none'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='graphics' id='2' value='TyrellN7Fader'
PARAMETER control='Slider 1599' port='Slider Value' module='ENV1' parameter='Dec' valuestring='generic'
PROPERTY control='Slider 1599' name='direction' id='0' value='vertical'

That will sort out the 'throw' on the faders. We're looking at the top line, the second value is the fader 'middle' and the last number is the length of travel, so increasing the 'throw' the 150 means you need to nudge the center of the travel down by 5 pixels to 30. I think '26' is the element scale (fader size). It's all trial and error, you've got to change a number, reopen the plugin and see what's changed, then find values that work.
Naturally you'd need to make this change to all the sliders individually.

I'm not sure why some of the presets would be sticking, you'd need to trawl through the script file and see if you can spot any discrepancies. Maybe contact the dev and see if they can shed any light on the situation?
Thanks scoobz. I'll give it a try in the next days, if I managed to find a couple of hours. And thanks again for your work.

I very much prefer the "moogish" knobs. I think they fit better in the overall style. Besides that, your work looks great. Does this mean you are in the mood to update your skin? If it is so, I think it's time for a donation, then :-)

Agree.

Well here's today's problem ;)

You'll see on the ENV1 section that I've sorted out a few knobs but you have to go into the script file and change the scale, when you do that it moves the knob so then you need to reposition it. You have to do this for every single knob individually.

:(

Post

Personally I like those smaller black knobs.
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

Thanks Saukar :)

It was all going pretty well till I got to the mod section...

Changing the knob size moves the field values below which you then have to sort out separately. It's taking ages nudging things around. Maybe someone might have better luck than me. All the actual design work is done, it's just increasing the knob size that needs doing.

90% of the way there on the V3 upgrade ;)

Hello!

I also think the old knobs are better...
but what is strange to my eyes is the lack of proportion of the different sections. If you look at your older skin or other tyrell skins,
osc mod, oscilators, lfo1, lof2 have the same length. Same for mixer and matrix

Also you made a little error on shape 2, left waves indicator is not good..check Chris-S mod to see the good one ;)

@scoobz, the sliders cutoff to keyflw don't have a overdrive, so let the lines in white. ;)

Quick tipp for installing the skins as themes.
Tyrell User wrote:Just wanted to ask you if there is a way to put the skin in the "themes" folder instead of the data folder ? when I do this, it doesn't work .. but maybe there is a solution
Do you know how the authors of the other skins did it ?
By trial and error (do on own risk):

- Download the skin. Rename the folder "data" to the theme name - for example "90s skin - Blue edition".
- In the "scripts" subfolder delete all files except of the big one. Rename this to "TyrellN6.txt".
- Copy the folder to tyrell.data/Support/Themes/

Now you should see the themes selector when right-clicking into the GUI.

Ah, sorry, I mean the Synth panel, not the Presets list.

Right then, here's the background for the V3 version. I'm afraid my patience ran out when it came to sorting out the knobs :(
The knobs are in the zip file I posted a while ago if anyone's feeling brave!

Enjoy! :)

Anyway, so I will continue to work on my RM (remake) version.

Preview of V1.1 :

Image

- Switchable theme
- New slider knob
- Changed the knob for the Env modifiers
- Small alignements
- ADSR labels

Look really promising. May I suggest that you change the little indicator dot in the knobs to white? It will make it much more visible. And, while we're at it, maybe change the middle strim in the fader handle from orange to white also. IMO, it fits better overall. And, the right noise dot should be pink, and not orange too. Again, IMO.
