ey guys,

I'm seriously desperate here.
I'll try to explain my situation as clearly as I can with my broken ass English :(.

For the last couple of months, I have been trying to accomplish a rather simple task - to be able to play the guitar which is connected to my PC using UX1 by line6 and to get an acceptable sound from amplitube.
My guitar is a gibson les paul studio and my monitor(one) is a behringer truth b2030a.

For the life of me, I'm not able do accomplish the said task. Every freaking time it's either the sound sounds too muddy, too flat, volume too high, volume too low etc etc etc.

So here I am asking for your advise - what audio interface, preamp and/or even a brand new monitor speaker should I get in order to get the most out of softwares such as amplitube, guitar rig and alike.

Please.

Thanks in advance to those who respond.

Regards,

Paul.

Hi
Well assuming the audio interface is working properly I would say learn to equalize, the are some great tutorials in the internet, for exemple:

http://www.sweetwater.com/insync/barry- ... n-panning/ (https://sweetwater.sjv.io/c/4241666/789347/11319?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sweetwater.com%2Finsync%2Fbarry-guide-recording-guitars-equalization-panning%2F)

(but do yourself a favor and don't be to obsess with this tutorials, use your ears.)

Other tips i can give you is:
.record more then one take and layer/spread across the stereo field.
.if you going for distortion, don't use to much of it.
.the way you play the guitar is going to affect the recording (practice).

If you really think theres is something wrong with your audio interface, well.. I have only good thing to say about focusrite, but the truth is, these days every audio interface is going to let you do great recordings.

Good luck

You don't need another interface, you need to learn gain staging and how to use the effects properly.
