Cool, I updated to 1.2 and foolishly didn't cancel the iLok/PACE update that comes with it. Now it's unable to verify ("service temporarily unavailable") so I can't use it.

You guys really need to dump ilok. Literally the only DRM scheme I ever have trouble with is iLok. The only thing it's great at is randomly locking out legitimate users.

A reboot after install usually fixes this.
Otherwise, I advise to grab the pace installers from their website.
Once unZipped file, there is a troubleshot folder with a clean uninstall.
Run it, reboot, launch the installer back, reboot and voila

If this don't fix this, there is other but more complicated procedure.

Count on me to bother them with this. This annoys us as well :)
Still we always found a way to fix those kind of issue.

Let's say that i do a whole song with only Falcon, will there be different latencys all over the tracks? I just tried 2 tracks, different channels (one with fx) with the same drum patch and did not notice any problem. Sounded tight as a rock. The only thing that caused a bit latency was the limiter, but i almost never use this on single tracks. And by the way, thank you Uvi for this wonderful plugin! I love it! :-)
Very few FX actually introduce latency (mostly Limiters) so if you don't use those, you won't be bothered.
Will have to check on Monday to give a more precise list.

Thanks, I'm sure you do. The thing is, you've paid them, I've paid them. I don't think they really give a damn.

In any case, I'm by now quite versed in the 'iLok Dance', since I have to do it every other month or so:

Round one:
Check if Service is running (currently it won't start automatically, as tends to happen), start manually, run.

Round two:
If [one] fails, reboot, retry from [one] ,

Round three:
If [two] fails, uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot, retry from [one] ,

Round four:
If [three] fails, uninstall, reboot, reinstall from website, reboot, retry from [one] ,

Round five:
If [four] fails you're SOL. Last time it just wouldn't run for a month or so, then it popped back for no reason. Good thing I'm just a measly amateur, but I barely use Falcon anymore because I just can't stand the potential hassle of iLok.

I'm at [three] now but since this is about my tenth playthrough since biting the bullet on iLok I'll leave it at that for now. I have better things to do with my weekend than troubleshoot their crappy unstable software for the umpteenth time. But boy do I know why they have a $25 transfer fee.

Latency would be different for every track (Project out of sync), it doesn't matter if you are using other plugins or not, because all the other plugins report PDC to your DAW and your DAW takes care of it. All it takes is to use one or several instances of falcon with different falcon fx's on each track, to be clear, this is only if you use those specific effects (maximizer,distorsion,etc...) UVI please listen to us and also fix the problem with the iLok software, almost every week i have to reinstall it because the plugin stops working for no particular reason :dog:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/r76h6m28r5sf9b3/WT.zip?dl=0

preset froggy crash:

In layer 1 keygroup 1 : move the fx : redux( eg, before the studio Limiter) a crash occurs

same with the preset Growl trap add filter crash 2:

a crash occurs when i move the last fx -layer 1/keygroup1- to another fx position

crash in Falcon standalone and Reaper 5.24 x64 W7 x 64

Anomalie : preset Poly 8 voices 8

the program is selected in tree view, for multiple layers edit,
if i copy the second osc, the first osc is duplicate instead of the second
(eg,first osc: noise, second: Wavetable osc, copy in osc view with alt drag)

Anybody had any crashes when saving Falcon patches (as Falcon patches) while in Ableton Live? They seem to happen quite often for me lately... I'm not sure if it was after the MacOS Sierra update, or something else... I'm using Falcon 1.2 right now, but I may have been getting the crashes before 1.2 version.

It happens as soon as I locate the folder, and then hit the save button, and it completely closes out Live when it happens.

@kokotte Please note that the proper way to report bug is to go through our support.
KvR is not an official support channel.
Your issue here is related to the mix FX arrangement on your two keygroup that you edit as the same time.
The crash is fixed now but if you want to avoid it in the meantime, select one keygroup at a time.

Regarding preset Poly 8 voices 8, I would advise to use the Layer unison instead.
Way more flexible given what you are trying to achieve.

I'm a bit curious about the "note off trigger" at keygroup. This is kinda new to me, but i was under the impression that the note off could trigger an envelope? I create 2 keygroups both with 1 oscillator with their own DADHSR. The first keygroup triggers note on, and the second triggers note off, but all i get on the second keygroup envelope when triggering note off is a fast decay sound no matter how i set the sustain or release. Like only the decay is working?

Just enable "Note Off Retrigger" available in the treeview inspector, so click on the DAHDSR envelope in tree view to actually see that option.
