Is copying/pasting between the oscillators and layers possible?
If not it will be a FR

Not really a match but thank you both of course: chk071 and parawave!!!
It's only i personally can't accept that deal because it would contradict my personal belief as i already tried to explain in my earlier post. I'm somehow happy if another member will get the discount who didn't see a problem in this like i obviously.
Thanks again for the offer!!

I am sure the synth is good quality, but this thread is now devolving into begging for discounts. Very odd feel to the whole thing.db3 wrote:+1ravasb wrote:From the dev: If you are not on the list, please don't ask for a discount. Maybe you will get lucky next time. This has certainly been one of the more eccentric rollouts of a new product and new company that I can remember. I understand having an intro price and I understand not having an intro price. This approach to giving a discount to a handful of commentators, not even beta testers, is really odd. I am sure there is a method to the devs madness.bite_me wrote:bite_me wrote:OK, there are some lucky dudes who got love from the dev. What about an intro price for all that other crappy begging mob before your frontdoor, parawave?
Not interested at this time because I'm on mac, but that has to be one of the most badly thought out pieces of marketing I've seen on KVR

Look, I'm not perfect. I thought it would be a fun thing. Maybe it's not a perfect marketing idea, but at least some people are happy.ravasb wrote:I am sure the synth is good quality, but this thread is now devolving into begging for discounts. Very odd feel to the whole thing.

To be fair, the whole begging for a low price, from people who didn't even seem to be really interested in the synth was pretty odd to begin with. This whole thread won't matter much considering there are usually up to a few thousand copies of a synth sold anyway, and you can figure out the amount of posters in this thread, compared to that.

Well, first impressions are good. Not sure it is 'forget the Virus" synth as someone said, but it is a really good sounding synth. I love how it can go really wild with loads of distortion, but still has pretty clean sound free of bad artifacts. The osillator FX are really interesting.

Exactly what I think. The quality is really good and the CPU usage it low. I had projects where I used more than 20 instances and it worked fine. My PC is over 5 Jeahrs old, so it hasn't the newest ultra CPUSynthman2000 wrote:I checked it out sound quality is good. In the same session I was using Spire a synth which I have always been unsure about. Spire is a fundamentally thin synth to my ears until you start applying processing to it (though it has some recently discovered sonic characters I appreciate so it redeemed itself) and Rapid sounded better and I also prefer Rapid compared to Zebra2 and Dune. That is my 2 cents on sonics. Rapid has a good big sweet spot up and down the keyboard and through all filter ranges. I like Rapid's envelopes as well, responsive. I like the visual feedback you get on the wave forms for modulations and on the WT's when you click on that oscillator graphic (even though I do not quite correlate what I see with what I hear specifically regarding the 3D WT's, but that is the same for any WT synth I have used.)
Rapid can use a lot of memory (up to 200MB depending on preset) which for me could be an issue 32 bit DAW on 64bit OS means I run out of memory before CPU almost always. Arguably this is my own predicament to resolve and sort out 64 bit throughout! CPU use is going to be a NON issue with rapid as far as I can tell here. This is very good sound for low cpu use.
GUI is fine by me. I don't have a problem with it. I was slightly confused at first with modulation "slots" at the bottom and ENV's/LFO's etc up to the middle right but I get it now. I don't tend to go modulation mad anyway preferring to automate synth parameters in real time or use multiple envelopes for pitch/filters and record it in for specific parts of the music rather than random LFO chaos going on through the patch.
I will keep on trying it out in forthcoming weeks.
I am on the discount list which all I will say is highly appreciated. Thanks.
Maybe some interesting first audiodemos from tester or customer?

+1 it is a bit high.ATS wrote:yeah I would buy this if it was cheaper for sure.
Icarus, Electra2, and Serum are all less than this one.
