... When it comes to hefty plugins like MMultiAnalyzer for example my CPU now glitches after adding the second one.

I had some problems when multiple MMultiAnalyzer GUis were open -try turning off the Graphic acceleration or turning down the 'Frames per second' value.

If any asks me which plug he or she should buy, I would without hesitation recommend neutron. It is absolutely wonderful, sounds briljant and learn you to listning with help from the assistant. I'm blown away by how fast you can get the mix balanced.

Don´t bother, the demo seems corrupted anyway. Gives several error messages during the install just to NOT have it installed eventually.
I have sent support some screenshots to make them aware of the issue.

Same here,used the official Izotope download and the pluginboutique one.
Standard and advance versions.
Chrome and IE .

Every time i try too instal any downloaded version i get error messages on W7.

I got a test version that fixed some issue for other user but on mine PC there are still error popups.

They are working on it.......

Anybody else getting crazy lagg with the graphics in ableton live when the Neutron compressor gui is open?

So, I do like it. I found the track assistant and the masking section even more useful. But I am not sure to get it.

I do like using my DAW plugins more, specially I love Live Eq8 and compressor. But I think the exciter and the transient shaper are excellent in neutron.

I don't like clutter either and I hate opening and closing windows.

I've been making ITB electronic music for a few years now and I'm starting to get to the point where people are telling me that my mixes sound professional, though it's just a hobby for me.

I saw a video on Neutron and wanted to try it straight away, and bought it the same day. I'm impressed with it so far and would recommend it to people who have already made a start with learning, people who already know what EQ, compression, gate, exciter, and so on do so as to minimize their learning. Alternatively, complete newcomers could learn these simple techniques and plugins using Neutron rather than standalone VSTs. It's certainly cheaper than buying the equivalent set of a decent set of plugins.

What it's taught me is that although my mixes are OK, I can improve them even more, by checking what Neutron has suggested and finding out what the differences are.

Will I keep it? Neutron is good enough that I could sell or uninstall some of my existing VSTs, except for the dual facts that a) the basic version uses up just a little too much CPU for my Surface Pro 3 (though it's OK so far on my PC), and b) I can't (yet) afford the upgrade to Avanced. But right now I have no intention of getting rid of it.

I have downloaded the demo and installed on my late 2011 13" MacBook Pro (i5 dual core, 8GB RAM, SSD drive). Pro Tools 12.5.2 native.
No problems installing. No problems, lags or glitches using it (track assistant, mask meter - great sounding plugin!)
But it takes a lot of time to reload a session with 10 instances. If I change buffer size it takes a lot of time - beach ball on screen. If I change disk cache it takes a lot of time also. It seems to use a lot of memory and CPU. Alloy 2 is way easier on the CPU and Pro Tools general operation.
I don't know if I'll buy it. Maybe if Izotope makes it easier on CPU

the only show-stopper for me is not being able to move a node/band while you solo it (Alt + Click and Drag).

i'd buy it right away if this issue was addressed.

Neutron does seem pretty amazing. The only issue I find with it is it can be a bit to easy to overcook things.

By that I mean by making everything too clear and too focussed you risk making a more sterile mix and risk throwing away some of the texture that actually contributes to the vibe of the song.

But that's easily overcome. Less is more!!

The one minor issue I'm finding is I don't really need another compressor or eq or transient designer or saturation plugin. I'm actually pretty set there with many options available.

What I would really want is to buy their Track Assistant/Neutrino/Masking Meter as one plugin. Everything else is really throw away for me on a personal level.

Although I can see how it affords many others great mixing options and opportunities.

the masking meter is just an analyzer.
Voxengo Span, MMultiAnalyzer and other analyzers can do that job.

i like Neutron concept of having this paired with an EQ.

on the other hand, having an independent analyzer has the advantage that you can drop it anywhere in the chain...
