Here is the setup:
1x MPC 2500 - Used as main sequencer (time sig, tempo, sequence length, etc... has 4 MIDI Out + 2 MIDI In)
1x Axiom 61 - Used as main keyboard. (has MIDI Out & In)
3 synths (JP8080, Moog SP and Access B Virus... all three have MIDI Out & In)
I'd like to have each module synced-in-time with the MPC's sequencer, so that when i setup an arpeggiator on them or any other tempo-based control, they will be in-time with the MPC and they all will be synced together. Also, while using the Axiom to "play" the notes into the MPC's sequencer, if I wanted to sweep the filter on any one of the modules, I'd like to be able to have that sweep MIDI data recorded into the sequence... not just the notes being played and their velocities, etc. I want all available MIDI to be recorded into the MPC when possible.
Without having all the cables to do this with yet, maybe somebody will know if this setup with allow all this to work the way I wrote above.
Would the Quadra Merge box allow me to have this work or would I be better off with something like a MOTU MTP AV? Thanks so much for any help!
