+1 it is a bit high.

Icarus, Electra2, and Serum are all less than this one.

Not to mention Avenger that will be out soon for cheaper or Diversion which goes on sale for $89 a lot and is amazing.. Crowded market and this is 10 years ago pricing. Don't get me wrong I want RAPID badly but not gonna pay full price. And honestly knowing I could of got it cheaper if I got lucky makes it a no brainer not to buy.

German synths are always more expensive. Because of the German engineering quality.
No signature here!

It seems that I won an undeserved lottery with that out-of-the-air generous discount offer, so, thank you very much!

However, the offer expires on Nov 1, in less than three weeks. The 140€ question is this: will the Mac demo be out in good time before that?

I have (too) many synths and Kontakt libs already and I'm not into EDM, tarnce or any other 'pure' synth music. Also, a sound designer I am not, so I depend on good and varied libraries – some tweaking is the most I can be bothered with (usually turning down chorus and verb levels and killing delay).

So, it's essential that I can demo RAPID on Mac to get a feel for the instrument before I spend even the discounted money. ;-)

Kind regards,

Joachim
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Is it possible:

- to copy/paste settings between oscillators and layers?
- to aassign the parameters from different layers to the same macro?

Feature requests ;

- suboscillator
- decimate/ratecrush distortion type
- vowel filter
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Post

Recursive one I did see a bit crush in the effects section somewhere but missed a sample rate divide which I greatly prefer than bit crush.

Good future feature suggestions.

This European-centric pricing has to stop. Companies are pricing themselves right out of the North American market due to the significant exchange rate and need to think globally. Otherwise, enjoy your toys.

You can copy/paste a whole layer, with all settings (right click on a layer tab). This also works between multiple plugin instances within the same host. Lets say you open two RAPIDs. One with an init patch and one to browse presets. You can then copy a layer from the browser instance to the other empty init patch. With this tequnique you can quickly build massive patches. Let's say by combining 3 normally single arpeggiators and a pad. I hope this was not too comlicated, in execution it's a lot simpler than in text form : D

Also by right clicking the modulator buttons (A, B, C, D) you can copy modulators, and the arp two. You can even paste it into a modulator from another layer. If that's not enough, you may have already seen that you can save each separate modulator as preset.

The macro controllers act as global parameter for alle layers, so e.g. its possible to control all layer wavetable morphs with one macro.

decimate/ratecrush: You mean as oscillator insert-fx or the insert that comes after the filter? Will note it.

Vowel filter: It's a very broad term. There is a bit of vowel in the talker-fx. Can you futher specify the desired sound, maybe a SoundCloud example?

Post

I think I saw rate crush in the insert after the filter. But no a sample divider/decimator.

well now I am one of the lucky ones :hyper:

Just wait till people start selling it on KVR ^^
Makes me wonder what their license transfer policy is, at that price point maybe a question of interest...

Doesn't their own law say they have to allow resales?

Hard to say, afaik it is not a law, yet, but a court ruling.
Plus, they might charge a hefty transfer fee.
