Ableton Push Question

I've been trying to browse 3rd party vst presets using the Push interface but can't seem to get it to work. As of the Ableton Live 9.5 update, you're supposed to be able to do this. This is the information directly from Ableton:
Browsing plug-in presets
Once a plug-in is loaded, Hotswap mode will allow browsing presets, provided they are exposed to Live.
To activate Hotswap with Push, select a device using the respective upper display button and press 'Browse'.
Has anyone gotten this to work? Thanks for any help.

If that's true, they haven't updated the manual.
"Samples and presets from official Packs or Live’s core library will preview when selected in the browser."
https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/using ... ing-sounds
Where did you see this information about 3rd party plug-ins?
EDIT: I see it in the KB.

Yeah and the thing is is that all of the presets are exposed to Live. I just can't seem to find a way to get the hot swapping to work using the information given. I mean, I can save thousands of presets using the old method, but according to this, Push or Ableton Live however this works, has been updated to where you don't have to do that anymore. Unless I'm crazy or something. This is why I would like to know if anybody has gotten this to work.

How do you know they're exposed? Because they appear in a plug-in container like this?

Well the plug in has to expose them and use the standard or recommended implementation for presets in VSTs, which it is not very common, in fact very few commercial plug ins do it.

Thank you guys for your responses. rod_zero you are correct. After trying out a bunch of different plugins, most did not report the preset list to Live. I was going on the fact that Sylenth1 did. But I still couldn't get it to work with Sylenth1. At this point, it seems as if though I have to do it the old way by saving each preset manually after wrapping the plugin in an Ableton instrument rack.

Thanks man. Checked it out, but no dice on the preset thing. Most of that stuff is for Push 2 anyway. Thanks again.telecharge wrote:Live 9.7 is out (see the right sidebar on KVR >>>) with a bunch of stuff for Push.
