So I just got into music and got Live 9 Intro. I want to setup my Alesis v25 in Ableton Live 9 so I can hit some keys and play some sounds. So when I hit pad one to play my first audio clip it plays. Then I want to play my second audio clip while the first one is playing how do I do that? Also is there like a preset EDM project file that I could experiment using my MIDI controller with?

I got everything from guitar center and someone there said I would also need a "AudioBox USB PreSonus" to use with my MIDI controller and I was like ok so I got it now at home I am thinking why do I need it If I wont plug anything into it. My MIDI controller is usb so it doesn't need a MIDI interface. Should I return it?

Please move my post to the proper section I'm new to this forum.

First, it's the Guitar Center guy's job to upsell you. The AudioBox is an interface that could be useful for a couple of reasons.

1.) You intend to use/record a mic, physical instrument, or a MIDI controller with a 5-pin DIN
2.) A dedicated interface will often provide recordings superior to the sound card on your computer -- assuming no bugaboos

As far as using your Alesis v25 with Live...

http://www.alesis.com/kb/article/2021 - for V mini, but should still work

So should I return it if I am not doing lots of recording just yet. I never intend to use a mic or a physical instrument.

Only you can decide that, my friend. I don't know what the money means to you. Maybe record some with and without it and decide if it's worth it to you?
