Trying to use Mixcraft 7.7 64 bit (build 316) pro Studio as DAW rewired to Reason 8.3.2d7 (build 6,323) to use the sounds in Reason.
Mixcraft keeps crashing (Reason is stable).
Crashes while editing, playing but especially while recording.
Can force a crash by using the transport controls in Reason.
Anyone know a workround?

Your best bet for help is to post the question at Mixcraft's forum.

I'm fairly sure there are other Rewire users there who can chime in. Also the devs might want to take a look at your crash logs to see what's going on.

I do not know if it effects rewire or not, as I have never used rewire. But I do know that Mixcraft does not send MIDI clock/beat. I love Mixcraft, but this is the reason I am quickly moving to Reaper as my main DAW.

Johnkey, Regarding the technical issue you are experiencing with Reason, please send a description of the issue to support@acoustica.com and our technicians will respond and communicate with you directly. Or give me your email address and I can log the issue for you.
Dewaine, confidentially, Mixcraft 8 (tentatively due out end of this year) will send midi clock and status messages! Implemented nicely into the +VST instrument/fx dialog box. Just add an external midi device, click edit and then you see dialog. Lots of other great features and enhancements in Mixcraft 8 as well. Stay tuned!

I have Mixcraft 7 but don't use it very often because of the lack of MIDI features (internal MIDI routing) and the lack of being able to record into cells in the clip matrix and no MIDI-Clip content-browser and no MIDI clock sync.
But with Mixcraft 8 there will be a new DAW which has solved all this lacks.
As far as I have read, there will also be a long awaited MIDI clip browser with preview (-listening).
If all is true what is written up to now and all this features work as expected Mixcraft 8 will blow away Bitwig with easy, because it's easier to use, very userfriendly and not overblown and also cheaper than Bitwig or Live.
I will of course upgrade to Mixcraft 8 after testing if all promised features work as expected.
