So it will be more then Hive, but easier on CPU then Diva in Mono mode if i understand right?
That's what I think, yes.

There are some open variables at this point of development, such as the fact that I have not yet coded the filter in its final optimized form. The filter however is responsible for 70% or so of the overall CPU usage and experience tells me that optimizing will make it twice as fast. A remaining factor of uncertainty are the built-in effects, of which two need to be improved sound-wise, i.e. oversampled more and thus draining more CPU than they do right now.

Furthermore, the current internal version runs a magnitude faster already than Repro-Alpha which is linked in the first post of this thread.

Does a synth like this really need to have built in FX? Probably not.

If they are good quality, I think they do.

Hehehe, I can't wait to hear all your thoughts. I think they're going to please a lot of people.

What effects are you planning to include?

There's a distortion/wavefolder, a bucket brigade delay/chorus, an EQ/resonator, a reverb and a brickwall limiter. They're all stomp box style with minimum parameters. A preview was leaked with this screenshot (no reverb yet):

One of the most powerful U-he synth features is Parameter Lock. So if you prefer to have all dry patches without FX, its very easy.

Last bit adds an effect that we lovingly call "Jaws" before the delay - a name that certainly suits the process:

Just in case anyone wondered what the effects would be like. No external effects used, no eq.

This is of course in no way representative for the overall character of Repro-1. It's just something I came across which I couldn't resist posting :clown:
Holy shit this is amazing!!!!

:-o

Give us some more demos like this while you torture us with development - pweease

The FX Bypass button actually works that way without locking even, like it does in ACE and Zebra2.

I am very excited over this one. I am a sucker for this mono/analog emulation synths, now the The Legend was released. Having both would be perfect. I am hoping to get different colors of analog from this one.

I am looking forwards to this very much as well.

Will there be stacking/unison?
