RE: MIDI Tempo/Clock sync, in my efforts so far, NO. I've tried to send it clock from both MIDIBus and MIDIFlow, which both "see" Addictive Pro in their lists of clock destinations, but nothing I tried workds, unless there is some hidden preference to enable ext clock, etc. Which is pretty unfortunate if it can't sync to MIDI tempo, since the appStore description reads:

"• Support for virtual MIDI input connections.
• Multichannel MIDI Learn for external MIDI controllers.
• MIDI Tempo sync. Start/Stop Arpeggio."

Sure hope I'm wrong. To my ears/tastes it's an EXCELLENT sounding synth, with a LOT of tweakability, but without MIDI Tempo sync, it's unusable to me.

Awesome, thanks for the reply on that.

I feel like it has something to do with the ipad processor and it's energy saving implementation.
I've tried various other apps that claim to receive sync, and anytime I send a midi clock signal from outside of the ipad, I see it change to the desired tempo, but it fluctuate very quickly up and down about 1 bpm from the target.
Also turning on airplane mode seems to improve this a bit.

Who knows, maybe they did it on purpose to try and force musicians to get an "ipad pro"?
I have a version 4th gen retina, I think.

Here's the thing: Certain apps (like Patterning) have rock-steady sync, either to other coreMIDI apps, or to external MIDI sync via a h/w interface like iRig, so it IS possible. Addictive Pro doesn't do ANYTHING, doesn't see MIDI clock, try to match tempo, etc. Terasynth had the drift problem you mention, but the newest version seems to have mostly fixed it. But the silence on Addictve Pro MIDI sync is deafening...
