The edm sound is a bit dated, isn't it?
Okay, I gotta ask. Just what the hell is an EDM sound and how is it, as you say, dated? Do you even turn on the radio anymore? I'm not hearing anything on the charts, sound wise, that I didn't hear 5 years ago.

And if everything is so "dated" why are companies still making Mini Moog emulations that are selling like crazy?
I'm talking about the typical Skrillex, Deadmau5, Tiesto, SHM-type sounds that has been done over and over on Spire, Sylenth and Massive already.

Sorry, don't want to sound negative though, love Avenger and will certainly buy it on day one anyway. :)

Good stuff, would be good to have something video-wise that showcases that side. I know there's likely some in the very long preset walkthrough, but something to give an analogue flavour without all the digging through that one video would be great - I think a lot of people do have the notion that this is an EDM machine, and I realise that's not accurate.

Yes, look here:

In the video is not this what I am asking. If it is not clear what I write, look at this video:

Yes, look here:

...I'm not sure, it's what he meant. I think he asks about importing single cycle waveforms and creating a new wavetable out of them, not through playing smaller sections and interpolating between them, but rather being able to create morphed waveforms inbetween through additive resynthesis. I might be wrong, but judging from the video right now, it seems like Avenger scans through the wave file - it seems to be working in a linear fashion and probably has more to do with scanned synthesis and or granular synthesis (a bit like NI Form). Synths like Serum and Icarus use resynthesis and thus (at least in theory) seem to be able to set off a sample's linearity by rearranging the single cycles (not 100% sure, if they can do that - don't have none of them) or they allow using different sample sources as elements for a wavetable. So, I'm not sure, if Avenger can do the same right now, but if not, I think it would be cool if it would go that way. To me it seems, that if you wanted to create a really crazy wavetable with lots of different timbres, you'd have to cut it together externally to a new wave-file and Avenger would interpolate between these timbres and not create morphed intersections. However, I don't think this would be a bad thing, as I'm not sure, if these newly created intermediates offer such an advantage sonically in contrast to interpolation. But the rearranging part (if I'm correct) is quite interesting...

Exatcly. Like in this video (but there is wave created by harmonics, what Avanger can do but througth filter):

The FFT spectrum filter in Avenger does NOT work like a usual additive waveform editor and you could also not add partials/harmonics that are not included in the waveforms that you use as a source for it. You could only cut and/or boost partials that were already included with the waveform you loaded.

The best chace to use this as an additive editor is using a Sawtooth as this include most harmonics (while the with decreasing ampitude at higher harmonics).

Opposing to an additive editor the FFT spectrum filter works in real-time so it works on all waveforms of a wavetable when you scan trough it.

Thanks, I know that, but msvs wrote, there will be special wave contain all harmonics for create own wave with harmonics, which will be nearly same as addative waveform editor, I think. If I remember right.

Is there a video that shows this -- especially the BigTone presets?

When will a demo be a available?

not yet

later I will upload a video about the FX

The synth looks so awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !! definitley would buy it !

However, I have to say that I listened to it and it sounds very very flat compared to refx nexus/other synths out there

I see it stands for its beautiful plucks and pads (reminds a bit virus - please commenters dont kill me now) But I will be waiting for the "STRONG EDM" demos .. can you show us crazy wobbles ? or saws ? ??

Each video tutorial opens more and more features!
Avenger seems to me like these russian Matryoshka dolls!
(You know, a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another).

Beside all these great features of Avenger, there is something that I find quite remarkable (bemerkenswert): your understated way of presenting features that probably no other VST synth has! You describe one amazing feature after another as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Nice :-)

Is this "Open" button that you activated in the EQ effect in order to get a bigger window specific to the EQ effect or is it available for other effects too? In the video I do not see this "open" button on the other effects.
