Thank you for trying out the beta and giving us feedback!

Yes!
Chick Sangria wrote:Feels great to use the sequencer. Just one problem so far: In the Page Select section, I can't choose "Rows 1-7 / Steps 1-16". While the other three pads turn violet, this one stays green and the drum view doesn't switch to this section of the sequence.
Sadly I can't reproduce this, are there more details you can provide to help track this down?

Been testing a bit with logic and I have had no missed notes so I am guessing this may be a problem with the new live 9.7 version. It does seem a bit glitchy!

If I notice any issues with logic I will let you know but at the moment you should ignore the lost notes problem.

Hi Geert,

I'm trying to get my head around why you guys have Pitchbend as one of the sequenced parameters rather than say the Z axis?

Cheers

Do you feel the need for the Z axis as well as the Y axis when using the sequencer? The pitch bend is very useful for tuned drums and percussion, or for microtonal melodies.

Not a need as such but it would be nice ;)

I hadn't thought about percussion, good point.

I have been playing around with sequencing the pitchbend and have got some nice out of tune music box sounds, especially good with the swing enabled.

Got another little issue as well: When clearing a sequence the End is not cleared.

Not sure this should be done, same for the other sequence settings. I can see it both ways, I'll discuss it with Roger.

Tried it again: When I plug in the LinnStrument, the pad on the lower left is purple by default and the other three pads are green. Now I choose a different section, but pressing the pad on the lower left won't turn it purple. When I reconnect the device, the same starts all over again. Does anybody experience this, too?

Also, the Step Select Bar layout could have subdivisions of four pads separated by color.

I'I sorry, I can't reproduce this. Any chance you can record a video of what you're doing, just to make sure there's no misunderstanding on my behalf?

Hi Mark,
I'd still prefer to leave it as it is for now. From your video, the Monome has no other choice because there's no separate Step Select Bar. Even if only the unlit notes at the playhead are temporarily lit, my opinion is that it obscures the note information at the playhead, especially if you let it remain lit when stopped. Plus, lighting the entire column makes no sense in Notes view. I think it's not so difficult to look down to the Step Select Row to see which step is playing.

I'm digging the new colors, the orange is great for Halloween, also the lime green and regular green go great together. I have a suggestion for the color options, how about being able to save color scheme presets, maybe have 4 save-able presets placed under the 4 button color options, that would be great to switch the look quickly between songs instead of flipping through each individual color everytime.
Thanks for the update!
Hi solar,
You can already do that. In the Presets screen, there are 4 buttons on the right side called "All Settings" presets, each of which contain all internal settings except the sequence data. You can fill these with your 4 favorite color combinations.

I hope it isn't a bug at all but only my stupidity. Will delete this once we have figured it out ;)

Thanks a lot Chick, but I sadly can't reproduce it still. Could you check in global settings to see if the Calibrate led is green and not red? I'm wondering if it's actually registering a touch to that cell.

Another thing to check, does that bottom-left cell work when the sequencer is stopped? When you're on regular non-sequencer view, does it allow you to play a note?

OK, this might get us closer: Calibrate pad is green. And four pads aren't registering any touch: Three pads below the pad that I try to activate in the video. No MIDI data registered from these notes.

Could you reach out to us at support@rogerlinndesign.com so that we can help you figure out what is going on?

@gbevin I was running 1.2.5 when I upgraded to 2.0 and got the message. I also got the message when I went from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5 but it used default just like the fix in beta2 that you put in.
