I'm listening to this band "The Locust" that my friend let me borrow, pretty crazy shit. 54 tracks, 49:28 total playing time. :o

very noisey thrash with some keyboards mixed in. if you want to bring the noise check them out. most won't like this shit. there is a sample on the site that is a little slower than their other shit.

the locust ROCKS!

I saw them play three summers ago at ABC No Rio in NYC, in 100 degree weather outside - 120 degrees inside most likely - absolute freaking chaos - and they were wearing locust masks the whole time :hihi:

hell yeah 8)

you into this sort of noise then endmusik?

Post

hell yes :D My roomate was a huge powerviolence fan for years - dragged me to more hardcore and blastpunk shows than I can remember - so many VFW halls...

Charles bronson, Spazz, Swing Kids, Thus spoke zarathustra, all great listening on nasty summer days.

My roomates band was called Dogwrench - I've been "remastering" they're getto boombox demo for a couple of years now :hihi: I should do it and put some demos up :D

Post

Hell yes! I know some of those bands too! Bronson and spazz I have some compilations and 7" with them on em. 8)

I've been trying to find a certain band, maybe you've heard of MK Ultra?

PM me if you get some demos up of your firends band!

Post

yep - mk ultra was great! I'll have to ask my roomate if he still has the records - I know they were one of his faves.

Another all time favorite, only cause it was a project of a friend of mines, was a band called "exploding corpse action" - favorite song ever was called "decompression: anal prolapse" :hihi: I keep meaning to record the 7" and make mp3's of it... it's long since gone and forgotten by the world :( They're only release was on a small label in albany - a split with Dead Baby from Providence. One of these days I want to cover that song too... maybe even sample it- I think they'd get a kick out of it.

I should get those demos sorted - they sound like ass - full band recorded in through a built in mic on a boombox :x If only it happened now - we'd have a full multitracked recording of them!

Post

oh - and I set up a page with some biographical notes for Dogwrench a while ago -

http://dogwrench.endmusik.com/

I had planned on adding mp3's of the demo to it once I got it sorted... my roomate was the bassplayer. Dogwrench lives on whenever I record vocals through his old DOD death metal pedal :hihi: It's my little homage to them...

Lol, I did a split EP with Spazz back in the early 90's..

@ crazed one: if that EP you have of Spazz's has a track from Floor on the flip side, that's me on Bass

do me a favor & send it to me cause I haven't had a cut of it in like 10 years..

Post

hey sickle - I'm gonna ask my roomate about that. He collected this shit for years, he may very well still have it. Plus I wouldn't mind hearing it myself :P

Post

hey sickle, my buddy might have that, I'll PM you if I get my hands on it :!:

endmusik, thanks for the link! 8)
