Can I use Komplete just with Ableton Lite or do I need Standard?

I know a number of sussessful music producers who use dozens of tracks, if not more. Just last week I watched a guy mixing vocal on on 10-15 tracks alone.

In a lot of these cases, effects racks with chains do the job just fine and avoid filling the projects with tons of tracks that simply copy the same audio clips and feed them through different effects.

As far as I'm aware, Live Lite and Intro support racks with chains.

You play it just like you would play 128 separate MIDI tracks- wait no, that would be impossible to edit in any reasonable way and would totally suck. Anyway, the 128 is just the max number of lanes that are possible, don't get stuck on that.

How many of your 15 tracks were drums?

The question is how would having drums + 7 tracks prevent you from making "real music"? I don't think it does, if you have a concrete example of what can't be done (particularly in the context of electronic music), please tell.

If you really think about it, there's a ton of actually real real music out there requiring less than 8 tracks.
