Evening and late night samples might be worth trying as well .... They got another note or should I say flavor. 8)

Mine are too percussive, I hear this thing's not very good on drums.

Sounds like an excellent freebie, thanks Cakewalk!

I will consider this partial compensation for the turd that was Sonar 7.
A well-behaved signature.

my night ones have steep attack amp env so not worth it as per ghettosynth conclusion. however, wacking in a transient shaper before la2 in limiter mode may be an idea for getting that fat low end rich sound.

No auto tune...

Haven't really had time to properly test it yet, but Kotelnikov using "Vocal Bus - Warm" preset sounds better to me. CA-2A is on par with VOS ThrillseekerLA.

I'm a bit late to the party and haven't read the whole thread, so here's just some quick info I can relate that might be news to you guys:

if anyone wonders what this thing is good for, I seem to remember back in the day some people claiming that it rocks on vocals while it sucks on drums however.

I didn't try it though - I know it's free and all, but somehow I still can't be arsed to go through the hoops of downloading and installing it - does anyone else feel the same?

It sounds good on solo Trumpet as well.

Did you try it on the bus for a Kazoo ensemble too, by any chance?
