Hey,
I just checked out the MixVibes site, they do a range of MP3 mixing stuff.
The latest pro version, which i beleive is midi-controllable, looks absolutely stunning. I checked out the video clips of it in use, and its very impressive.
Looping tools, onboard multi-FX, a 3-band EQ crossfader, monitoring, up to 16 decks, kill switches, beat-matching, BPM counter etc etc, all wrapped up in a very nice looking interface.
The top version comes in at 169euro, which is a fair whack but if it can do everything it says on the tin, is a bargain. I'd seriously consider selling my CD decks (which i have grown to love) and buy the software and a big hard drive for MP3.
This thing would be capable of some very serious mixing, and lets not forget that with many decks, you could dice up your own music and remix it live.
check it out at www.mixvibes.com
Bloody amazing MP3 DJ software

Right, take this software out of context for a second and you get something totally new.
Up to 16 decks, each basically being a pretty flash phrase sampler with looping, EQ, and access to decent mixing capabilities and an FX rack.
Sounds a pretty handy live composition/remixing tool to me!
