Hi all,

I've been away for a little bit... I bought a new townhouse and sold my condo, and if there's one thing that will cure your G.A.S. it's buying a new house!

Now I'm all done with that and have spent the last couple of days updating my software and plugins and grabbing all the recent freebies (SieEQ! SurferEQ Boogie! CA-2A!).

I haven't updated Kontakt, though. I'm currently on v5.5.2. Last I read a couple months ago, with v5.6.x they'd eliminated the Big Font option and changed the keyswitch graphics to kind of match their keyboards.

Since the other thing I've bought recently is a new pair of reading glasses, I'm a bit concerned about the font thing. So my question is... has that been addressed since v5.6.x was released? And are there any other nits or picks that have stopped you from updating?

5.6.1 has the bigger font enabled constantly.

Thanks! It's awesome, I love it. I'd planned to build a studio in the tandem garage but it would be so dark in there I ended up just putting it in the second bedroom... four windows, 12-foot cathedral ceilings... just started turning the closet into a VO booth.

If you're on a Mac, be warned that 5.6 and up is 64-bit only. Might be an issue.

Windows still has 32-bit support.

They released a new version just recently but it just errors out when I try to update via the Service Center app, saying that I would need to remove it and reinstall.. for whatever reason (I think I know why - long story). I'm not touchin' it for now!

Next up is getting a new desk with room for the keyboard. Also some speaker stands and probably a rack. And a new interface... and a new... Uh oh, G.A.S. is back!
