Is there any chance of an enhanced version of the Legend featuring more modern synth features such as LFOs, Arps and the like?

I personally would be so happy if they just added a basic LFO, velocity and aftertouch. Just like the 2016 Model D reissue. But it's already an amazing synthesizer as it is, in terms of sound and behavior.

As i said earlier, while it would be nice for The Legend to have these features, it is possible for you to have these features on the synth (or any other VST instrument) right now, just with some workarounds.Yorrrrrr wrote:I personally would be so happy if they just added a basic LFO, velocity and aftertouch.

In Live 9 some of the Max4Live modules are helpful there (including LFO, envelope, velocity, a step sequencer etc.) and it indeed works here. An Arp is directly included with the built-in Live 9 MIDI plugins.Mutant wrote:As i said earlier, while it would be nice for The Legend to have these features, it is possible for you to have these features on the synth (or any other VST instrument) right now, just with some workarounds.Yorrrrrr wrote:I personally would be so happy if they just added a basic LFO, velocity and aftertouch.
You could even use muliple M4L LFOs and envelope modules in the same instance of The Legend.
In Bitwig adding a LFO is quite simple too (the module there has 2 LFOs).

A basic LFO is already somewhere in there I suppose
Velocity sensitivity would make sense, yes, and it would not change the character of the emulation, much less so than the added poly mode in my view.

Osc 3 in "LO" octave and Osc 3 key tracking set to off, like in the real thing...fluffy_little_something wrote:A basic LFO is already somewhere in there I suppose![]()

Additional LFO allows to use the third oscillator freely, not having to sacrifice it. It's just added flexibility. But more important to me it would be the velocity and aftertouch, for greater expressiveness, for the synth players and performers.

Could you explain this?ENV1 wrote:Again: You cannot have velocity control on a minimoog unless you sacrifice one of its main features.

I did some pages back, but anyhow, in a nutshell:Torchlight wrote:Could you explain this?ENV1 wrote:Again: You cannot have velocity control on a minimoog unless you sacrifice one of its main features.
The minimoog has this 'voltage-accumulation' thing where the faster you keep hitting a key the more the filter opens.
(How pronounced this is depends on the VCF Decay.)
The emulation emulates this behavior, thus if you had velocity control at the same time it would interfere with this original behavior.

Indeed. Didn't think about that, sorry. If you hit a key repeatedly, the filter envelope amount seem to add up. Nico Herz (Bigtone) explained that earlier. I love how the developers emulated the Model D in such great detail.

From the new Model D
edit: oh it isn't necessarily used in the way we normally use velocity these days... it has to be patched in and can be used as a further modifier if we choose.

Does it therefore not fully be able to replicate the much older versions?"KEYBOARD
A Fatar TP-9 keyboard has been implemented with the ability to transmit both After-Pressure and
Velocity control voltages. While these signals are not hard wired to any specific parameter, the
expanded Top Patch Panel allows Velocity and After Pressure signals to modify the Filter Cutoff
Frequency, Loudness and Oscillator Pitch"

And one can hear it, Diva sounds clearly more detuned, maybe you overdid it
