But it's still $75 for some lucky Sob's

I got Logic Pro X for $72. Clearly the best value.

Post

You didn't get it for 75 though, so it doesn't count as a 75 dollar daw. Sorry...

I haven't bought it at all, yet. However, when I went to the page this afternoon, I clearly saw a $75 daw

Fascinating though :)

Logic doesn't count, you can only get it if you pay $3,000 for a $2,000 machine. So technically it costs $1,072 and is maybe the most expensive DAW out there. :o

So does this attack have to be only $75 DAW's? I mean Fruity Loops is only $99 for their basic that does most things. And it might go on sale at some point.....

And Reaper is always better (with the caveat that I have never even tried Reaper and don't really plan on it any time in the future) :scared:

So what is so great about Renoise, other than its cool French name?

Post

It looks cooler than FLS :ud:

@Reaper is not pattern based afaik

Nice fail. :tu:
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

With the way the pound is going, for me what was a $60 DAW last week, is a $75 DAW this week, and will probably be a $100 DAW next week.

I never realised exactly how moronic and xenophobic so many of my countrymen and countrywomen were until the Brexit vote. Wankers.

What the UK needs is another country to have an even more embarrassing vote in the near future...

Buy used, older versions, and almost every DAW is a 75 dollar DAW. :ud:

Nothing stopping you creating your own 'attack' thread (Well, maybe the mods :P )

Renoise is like the ultimate sampler, offering extremely tight, note-by-note control. It's a crazy top-down sequencer that allows much of the work to be done quickly with a 'qwerty' keyboard (However, being able to enter steps from a midi keyboard is fantastic)

I'm probably not the only person who has romanticised about such a complete diametric shift in workflow (Logic pro user, normally), getting the creative juices flowing again. It seems alienating, and turns up quite frequently in the kvr marketplace.

It's probably just me, but everytime i see Renoise, i wonder how someone can work with that GUI. Absolutely horrible for me. Each to his like! ;)
