Don't know where you got that from. The initial alpha release was research-ware, but it was always intended for a commercial version of Re-Pro.FXBox wrote:I was under the impression there is never going to be a final release of Re pro as it's a testing ground for U-he and not an actual product
Repro-1 (out now)

All the FX are there now. The Reverb is in since the last public screenshot. I love the EQ!Taron wrote:Very cool! The latest screenshots do look quite exciting. Normally I don't mess around much with monophonic synths these days, but this one looks (and sounds) like a fun exploration!
Thanks for the info!
You can input the pitch of sequencer steps by playing them, including velocity. Very nice for creating sequences.

Ah, haven't seen/heard those, yet. Again, I only just today found out about the whole thing and started looking around, finding this thread and the other I posted earlier for all those, who stumbled upon this one like me.
On there I only went backwards to find the last screenshot. Didn't check for demos...if they're there?!

Can you modulate anything in the EQ?pdxindy wrote:All the FX are there now. The Reverb is in since the last public screenshot. I love the EQ!

Does the EQ use algorithms from the filter?
To modulate, do you right-click on a knob and say 'modulate via LFO1'? How does modulation work?pdxindy wrote:Also, the pertinent FX parameters are also modulation targets... which is a useful addition.
Oh, and the audio rate modulation sounds excellent!
Can you modulate all the Wavefolder knobs?
Is the Resonator in there? What does it sound like?
So many questions...
Is there a ModMapper like in Zebra or Mapping Generator like in Bazille?
I really want to play with this thing.

Breathe, spunky, breathe!

I'm pretty sure you will survive until you get your hands on it and then you'll find a whole new world of questions!

First there is the modulation in the synth itself which is (I think) the same as the Original Pro One and obvious from the screenshots. Then there is a tiny mod matrix with 2 slots (no modmappers). It does not sound like much, but it adds a lot of expressive potential while being simple in keeping with the spirit of the synth. You can see the two slots next to the keyboard labeled 'Perform' in the screenshot. The mod sources are mostly midi stuff... modwheel, AT, breath, expression, key follow, velocity, pitch wheel and the LFO and 2 Envelopes. Most knobs are possible targets.spunkmuffin wrote:Can you modulate anything in the EQ?pdxindy wrote:All the FX are there now. The Reverb is in since the last public screenshot. I love the EQ!

The EQ has 2 modes... EQ and a 3 band Resonator type thing. I think u-he has picked/developed a perfect set of FX for this synth. Wavefolder, EQ, Delay, Reverb and Limiter (can be re-ordered). Lots of diverse character while being simple and easy to use. IMO, best set of FX for any u-he synth to date.

We need a couple more days... currently investigating why the distortion sounds slightly duller at 192kHz vs. 44.1kHz. Stuff like that. But at least we're pretty much feature complete now, which means that public testing isn't too far away
Hmmm, thinking of locking this thread... I didn't expect RePro-Alpha to be confused with Repro-1, but then I also didn't think of people who haven't followed the process from the beginning.
