NOT AT ALL!!!

Please quote me here and now, where in this thread I said something against Ilok in general!

Or otherwise be a man about it and take it back and admit that you misunderstood!

From page six of this very thrad:
jens wrote:Well, this is of course totally off topic here in this thread, but Soundtoys often offer heavy discounts and they run - contrary to Slate products, which require a physical dongle - on Ilok soft too, so that's not a big deal imo...

For me Soundtoys offer great value for money, even if not at their standard prices, which I indeed find overpriced too.
So stop your stupid shitty antics now please!

Verbsuite? No thank you Steven. As much as hard you try to convince me that this is not Reverb Preset player like any other impulse reverb library - it is just that. Reverb preset player. No matter how good it is.

Sure you can tell me it some kind of space tech - i don't care. I don't see not even half of options for Room editing like on Valhalla reverbs let alone LX480 or Aether. Sure you could capture LX480 presets and exchange them with Verbsuite but if you want to tell me that i am not going to need some sort of room editing i my mixes you are pretty off this time.

Happy selling i am sure you'll get your public with this groundbreaking new space advanced technology of liquid impulse response haha  This could pass on GS for some but even there - there are serious and experienced people.

"Oh, be a man and apologize" - yeah right, says the person that said "Slate filled dongle up your ass" :dog:
*sigh*

Can someone help me here? How can I say this so he understands what I was talking about? :help:
Nobody needs to help - because NOW you actually made sense. Context and comparison. Not that hard to do, rather than jump from topic to topic.

Else - not going to further comment on you - thread has been derailed enough.

A big fear I'm having as well, considering the history of LiquidSonics so far...
(best known for his IR reverb, and CUDA powered plugin development)

But I remain open minded. Maybe there is more to it than what we saw so far. And I do like LiquidSonic's tools.

But...but...but it´s a reverb preset player using advanced allowrithms by Fabrice Gabriel, so it must be the bestest of the bestest! :P

Steven Slate releases VerbSuite to the masses:
https://twitter.com/Slateproaudio/statu ... 1356789762

I guess more official news will follow suit (probably via GearSlutz first)

EDIT:
More Info dropped: http://slatedigital.com/store-verbsuite-classics/

Price:
199USD MSRP / without iLok2
219USD MSRP / with iLok2
14,99USD/Month in the Everything Bundle

Models being "ported":
FG-480 > Lexicon 480L
FG-2016 > Eventide 2016
FG-250 > EMT 250
FG-QRS > Quantec QRS
FG-2000 > Sony DRE2000
FG-16X > AMS RMX16
FG-6000 > tc.electronic System 6000 Reverb
FG-BM7 > Bricasti Design Model 7 (Freebie via LiquidSonics)

Rumor has it, that the download is a bit on the big side (due to the fact, that the VST Plugin uses 96kHz impulses - as mentioned on GearSlutz). So low internet bandwidth users beware.

The Bricasti impulses are 9-10 gb but do sound great. As a Relab user this replicates any of the sounds I use with ease. Much nicer than any other convolution reverb I have used and half the CPU of Altiverb.
Mac Studio M4
15.7.3
Cubase 15, Ableton Live 12

That is the unzipped size.
The 2 files are "only" 2.47GB and 2.07GB, at least this is the Mac experience.

Are you s(h)ure?

Though granted, I can only speak for the Windows "experience". Here it seems to be 1,29GB (Pack 1) and 1,12GB (Pack 2) if I click on the download links for the Bricasti Pack

Well, I'm staring at the .dmg files in my Downloads folder and that is what size they say they are so I would say, YES, I'm sure :D

And this is Note 2 from the download page:

2. Due to the compression formats available for DMG formatted archives the macOS images (4.2 GB in total) are larger than the PC installers (2.25 GB in total). They both contain the same files and will consume approximately 10 GB after decompression. The smaller files size is achieved using the 7zip compression technology.

EDIT UPDATE: I get it Compyfox, you weren't asking if I was sure..... timing is everything online :hihi:

Very much looking forward to this. If it's up to usual Slate quality it's hard imagine needing anything more for reverb. For me the only way to go is ownership though.

Rental is indeed too unpredictable. Monthly fees change whenever they want it to. $15/month doesn't sound like much but look what happened to TV bills ($15 --> $200). There is no way that fee isn't going up. It will be $30 or more soon enough (justified because they keep adding more plugins) and because you've used it in all your projects it's hard to let it go. You just got yourself another utility bill and some of you probably are living month to month.

Plus with ownership you can usually sell it if you tire of it. Just think it through guys before pulling the trigger.

What I'm wondering since it was announced: it uses LiquidSonics Fusion IRs, so it is *basically* a (dynamic) convolution reverb. LiquidSonics Reverberate 2 is also a convolution reverb with Fusion IRs (though it has many more controls compared to the Slate version). Is it right to assume that, if you would put the same IRs from Verbsuite Classics into Reverberate 2, you would not only have more or less the exact same result, but way more control over the sound due to the additional controls? I admit that sounds almost too easy, but it still seems possible to me - does anyone know more or can tell me if I'm missing some facts?
