Prince or Jimi? I've heard Prince play several acoustic sets and believe me the guy can play! I knew he was a good guitarist but he blew me away.
I've never heard anything by Hendrix in an acoustic setting, but surely you are jesting.

Whoa...I always admired Prince's music, mate. When he had the choice to get stuck in the current pop mold or break out and show some innovation, I felt he took the higher road.

And Hendrix wasn't content with the same old rock n' roll wankerage. I mean, he showed thousands of impressionable youths of the day it was cool to play your guitar arse backwards and set it on fire.

Heh, heh...it was because of him that I sent a rented Hammond L-100 up in smoke at a gig once.

You might be able to listen to Jimi... but you apparently don't "hear" Jimi.

Even in the guitar-playing community there are people who don't give Jimi proper respect. I can't complain, I suppose, since I hear Amon Tobin, Boards of Canada, or whatever other electronica you throw at me and think, "What, so you just play a note and widdle some knobs?"

As for Prince... didn't read the page where someone questioned his abilities, but anyone who would so so clearly doesn't know shit from Shinola(tm). He's a talented musician in general, and an accomplished guitarist especially.

No Prince is not punk hop. Punk Hop has to have PUNK in it and I've never heard prince play punk. Prince is funky and rockin in his own right tho.
PWEI may have been a punk hop precursor along with MC 900 FT Jesus and believe it or not EMF. But they all lacked the hip hop chops and experienceto make it credible.

I suggest you listen to Fly or Die its a f**kin punk hop song. For a tune to be punk hop it HAS to have punk in it, got it?

"She Wants to Move" is questionable. The elements are there but its too crossover/mainstream which explains why it was the first single off of the album. Fly or DIe the Album is not all Punk Hop.
