Anyway does anyone pay any attention to any review ? I can't remember the last time if ever I've been swayed to buy a plugin based on a review from anywhere. Demo it.....like it ? Buy it..........

Yes because God Forbid there is more than one thread for a plugin *cough Tone 2 cough*.

I'm trying to think of a way to respond to this, and I can't. What can I say? You got me fair and square; I missed the searchNumanoid wrote:The kind of feedback I got in this thread, goes to show that is not allowedKumi_27 wrote:Do You know such thing as "personal opinion"?
If somebody can't even use the search function at KVR to search up and find the big thread about this plug that was posted in just a week ago, I am not sure how much I trust their review of a plug. It's all about tech-saviness aint it.
Tell The Legend I'll miss talking about her and her wonderful, beating oscillators.

For those of you who are wondering how does the Legend sounds, I can say that the character is almost exactly as Sylenth1 but with a woody thickness have tested it for a week now.

I compared them a lot a few weeks ago. Sure, Sylenth1 can make almost any sound Legend makes, its waveform selection is almost identical. And one can get very close soundwise, but I would not go so far as to say they have almost exactly the same character.walker1 wrote:For those of you who are wondering how does the Legend sounds, I can say that the character is almost exactly as Sylenth1 but with a woody thickness have tested it for a week now.
The envelopes seem different for instance. And like someone explained in the other thread, Sylenth1 does not do that accumulative filter openness thingy, which is also related to the Minimoog's and hence Legend's particular filter envelope. I don't miss that, but for Minimoog purists I suppose it is important.
At the end of the day, I personally would not want to pay 100 bucks for sounds I can get out of almost any other good subtractive synth as well, which is usually much more flexible in terms of modulation, filters etc. In the context of a complete song the sound difference is negligible in my view. I suppose I am just not enough of a Minimoog fanboy

I haven't tried the demo, only listened on youtube, but the bright oscillators are where I think the sylenth reference comes from. The filter is very moog brassy to my ears.

I don't think any analog hardware sounds as bright as Sylenth1. That's where the built-in EQ comes in handyDasheesh wrote:I haven't tried the demo, only listened on youtube, but the bright oscillators are where I think the sylenth reference comes from. The filter is very moog brassy to my ears.

it really doesn't make any sense without saying what color cylinder and pyramid you are talking aboutfluffy_little_something wrote:I don't think any analog hardware sounds as bright as Sylenth1. The Sylenth1 cylinder sounds yellow to me, analog synth pyramids brown.lectrixboogaloo wrote:it really doesn't make any sense without saying what color cylinder and pyramid you are talking aboutfluffy_little_something wrote:I don't think any analog hardware sounds as bright as Sylenth1. I like Synapse Audio but i find it too expensive for the limitations it has (for todays software tools).Robmobius wrote:But the Legend is the best clone! Plus, it was only $99..jon wrote:What's more boring than the 67th boring moog clone?

A bit more and i get tools which lets me create polyphonic Minimoog´s, Model 15 and more.....
For 79 i would think about it.
I know it´s forbidden to say these things in KVR threads but i´m a grumpy old bastard!
