I think the idea with The Legend was not to make a synth that could do a lot of things but could a few things really well. That and the meticulous attention to detail in the effort to create the finest Model D emulation possible (with some modern touches and extra features). So one either wants such an emulation or one doesn't.

Some ppl just dont get it. If it was a really good MM emulation with a huge array of bells and whistles, they would slag it off for not being true to the original...

Loving the filter+envs on this. Fantastic for percussive sounds

I never owned or heard the original in real so i couldn´t compare but i just hear what comes out of my monitors or headphones and like i said i judge it by the pure sound and options it gives me to sculp sound.
I believe you guys here really that it might be awesome close to the original but it does not matter (for me).
I just find it a bit too expensive compared to other tools which are a lot more versatile and they sound great too or even better to my ears for less or a few bucks more.
Maybe people don´t get that sometimes other people has another meaning.
I know critics are not welcome...O.k.O.k. i will not whining further here about it....at least i try

If youre not interested in a minimoog emulation, why bother trying it at all?

Everyone knows its a very simple synth. You can see from Synapses website it doesnt venture far from the original features.... did you expect a hidden mod matrix or something?

I didn't know that it is a simple synth....now i do.

Somehow, I am now preferring these little focused emulations, over the monster synths with tons of features. Looking forward for U-He's take on the Pro One. The thing that makes The Legend special is the amazing sound and behavior of the legendary Minimoog Model D, with a bit of added features for more flexibility and ease of use. Nothing more, nothing less. Even with its limitations, I think I enjoy its raw sound better than every other softsynth I own right now, (including DUNE 2), and it's worth the $99 IMHO.

I hope Synapse/Bigtone keeps doing other emulations with this level of quality. And, as I've said before, I'd love if they applied the things they've learned in the creation of this jewel, to DUNE 2/3, if at all possible or useful.

Maybe an analog synth?

Sure i have an idea and heard about it but i never could take my hands on a real one and i know now that i won't.
Anyway there are modular synth out there where you can build your own. If it will sounds 100% original? Maybe not, maybe better, or worse?
Whatever, if you like it i hope you enjoy.
But please don't think everyone have to.

The best and only way to stand out in the softsynth crowd IMO.

It's only $99, and it is a nearly perfect emulation of a Minimoog. If you don't like the demo, try something else. If you don't care, like you mentioned, why even comment?

Do you want them to give it away? A high quality software product is easily worth that much. If you don't want it, don't buy it. They have a demo, try it out.

He already did, but I think he was expecting some synth in the vein os Sylenth or Spire

He already admited he didn't knew what Minimoog was. I was a bit surprised, but we have to take in consideration the Minimoog is now like 45 years old, more or less.

EDIT: I thought you were referring to Cinebient.
