Gary Numan's Exile Tour in San Francisco
The Sundays in San Francisco
Tears For Fears in Colma
Voice Farm in Palo Alto (my band actually opened up for them)

Sonic Youth is must-see. They were in Boston last weekend. I think their sonic nurse tour is going to continue in Europe in a few weeks.

You won't be disappointed. They're one of those bands whose CDs can't convey their greatness.

korn - seen 'em four times - kicked ass everytime
metallica - wouldn't see them now though - too old

I saw Faith No More on their last tour and they rocked. I saw Devo at Lollapalooza and they kicked the asses of bands half their age, even Tool.

But the show I think about most was Man or Astro-man? During the opening song they lit a theremin on fire while playing it! How do you top that? In the middle of the show they brought out a dot matrix printer that "played" a song as it printed. And the show ended with a tesla coil zapping big arcs of electricity. That show had it all, humor, great musicians and sci-fi surf rock.

For bands I want to see, I would like to see Kraftwerk, but they'll never come near Pittsburgh. And I do not think Operation Re-Information or Spot 1019 exist anymore.
