About the emulations, from what I've understood from Rick's post it sounds like it will come in the Fat Channel, maybe you'll be able to change the compressor, eq, with one of those emulations. Maybe something like what is on their new mixer. He said nothing about Mix FX so I doubt it will come as one.

Yes. It sounds like maybe a new Fat Channel plugin with all of the emulations built into one plugin... which would make sense.nIGhT-SoN wrote:About the emulations, from what I've understood from Rick's post it sounds like it will come in the Fat Channel, maybe you'll be able to change the compressor, eq, with one of those emulations.

So, it's a bit like Sonar? OKLawrenceF wrote:Yes. I suppose (guessing obviously). Unless you're gonna sell them independently or something, why make multiple plugins? It's all just software code, the emulations. "Fat Chanel" suggest that to me, a fat channel, one plugin, with different emulations built into it.

That's why I tend to think it will be also free so people can recall projects made on the live mixer. When they've released Fat Channel for the first time it was free, but of course it's just a personal opinion.

Yeah. Would be cool if it is. I tend to doubt it ... although, to your point ... I do imagine if someone pays $2k for that console they'll probably get free licences for it with the mixer purchase... even with Artist.nIGhT-SoN wrote:That's why I tend to think it will be also free so people can recall projects made on the live mixer. But maybe it will be free for all Pro users. We'll see.
