More than one person has now thought that the Daisy vocals on "Call Me" were a human singer with heavy effects. Not that passing her off as human was ever my goal, but it apparently can be done. I already posted the link a few pages ago, but it's youtube.com/watch?v=M9pp4OfiPFA if anybody's curious but doesn't feel like looking for it.
I also tried making some Daisy backing vocals in sync with a human lead vocal. The lead singer didn't like the result too much, but it was still interesting to try. I turned the lead vocal into MIDI to get the original timing, but still had to move a lot of syllables forward.

Yeah, it's fun to tweak so the speech is slow and slurred, exaggerate the inflections, and get a totally drunk-sounding synth saying things like "I don't wanna die in the middle of nowhere, I wanna die in the thong section of Victoria's Secret".Aloysius wrote:Talking Mode is what I want. Thanks for the heads up!

Having some fun with the settings, making a dubstep bass out of Bones. No external effects, vibrato speed and high frequency sizzle parameters automated.

I literally entered "yoi" in the lyrics box, too.

Unfortunately they got rid of Daisy. I miss her...
Trying to tweak her in from an older install of Alter Ego tells me I'm lacking a license for Daisy.
EDIT: Problem solved, missed Daisy is back!

In that case I was just lucky. I just updated my Alter Ego to the one with Mr. Bones. Miss Daisy is still there and singing happily (unless I play in minor key).HiEnergy wrote:Unfortunately they got rid of Daisy. I miss her...

This is on Mac OS, if that's an issue.

Daisy was already there on the harddrive and the update of Alter Ego + Mr. Bones worked out peacefully. Daisy is reachable from the Alter Ego Menue. So here are both: the new and the old voice. PC here.
There was no question for a licence. Hm

I still have the install file for Daisy, which I'll now have to back-up in multiple locations. I have a few ongoing projects that Daisy is integral to (so I can't loose her!!!!!).
I'll give Mr. Bones a go!!
I really hope there's a way to get Daisy back permanently for future users. Such a great resource.

As before: I updated my Alter/Ego to the latest version with Bone, and I still have Daisy working just as before in Live 9 VST (Mac), including remembering tweaks when saving to the Alter/Ego user folder. Everything works as it used to.
Perhaps some problem on the PC side?

Daisy "1070" version is apparently unsigned and won't work fully, but the original should work on all platforms.

Daisy v1 and Bones both work for me on pc. I wonder why they removed daisy from site.
