awesome... will check it out over the weekend : )
btw: any more thoughts one supporting MPE...
softube have just added it to their modular, but it will be better in P900 as you have proper polyphonic support.

Yes, I'd really like to add it but it will be quite a while because of other higher priorities (with significant dev time).thetechnobear wrote:awesome... will check it out over the weekend : )

is it not a simple fix to route a midi message on channel X to voice X ?pulsarmodular wrote:Yes, I'd really like to add it but it will be quite a while because of other higher priorities (with significant dev time).thetechnobear wrote:awesome... will check it out over the weekend : )

if so this would give us voice per channel midi, as you already support channel pressure and CC 1, so this would be a nice first step, its not MPE but it would be ok, for step 1.
(MPE would require CC74 , which I guess could come also come out of the mod wheel jack if you wish, and to listen on channels 2-(N+1) , for voices 1 to N ... global channel 1 is useful, but not a big deal)
anyway, totally recognise you have 'bigger fish to fry'... just wonder if you could sneak in some workaround, before you start on the 'significant dev time'..
(currently I work around using N instances of P900 on N tracks, but this is a bit painful to setup, and keeping the voice patches all in sync)

Woah....the Sequencer is awesome....so flexible. You can create some fantastic polyrythmic stuff with it for sure,
I could wait for MPE....but how i said....midi learn IS a must.

I've had requests for MIDI learn from a lot of folks. It's coming soon.

No, I'm afraid there's no simple addition in this area but let's chat offline.thetechnobear wrote:is it not a simple fix to route a midi message on channel X to voice X ?pulsarmodular wrote:Yes, I'd really like to add it but it will be quite a while because of other higher priorities (with significant dev time).thetechnobear wrote:awesome... will check it out over the weekend : )

Any news on the knobs not moving in 10.10?
I'd love to test this more but the knobs not moving is bugging me terribly. I can't upgrade to 10.11 since i never added it to my account, and I'm not about to upgrade to Sierra with all its plugin problems.

It's due to bugs in the OS X graphics lib that the P900 uses. I tried to find a work around but there isn't one short of some major re-factoring. So the only resolution is to upgrade to a newer OS...sorry.wesleyt wrote:Any news on the knobs not moving in 10.10?

** Edit **: One potential alternative solution is to download the latest beta which implements MIDI Learn and assign MIDI controls to the problematic GUI elements...if you can get to them. The issues are zoom level/pan position dependent so you may have to move around a bit.

When you say crossplatform port, do you mean linux as well? Insta-buy if it comes to linux.pulsarmodular wrote:Does it not already include a lot compared to some others.... But seriously, next up is a sequencer and a cross platform port so it'll be a while before more modules.

It's blowing the Model 15 app out of the water (beside Model's 15 MPE mode and better MIDI options).
I really don't know how hardware should sound but this sounds like pure electricity for me
I looked at Softube and Reaktor 6 but it's not for me.
You won't get maybe more "modern" modular sounds out of it, it's more for the Moog vintage feel. But i love it. You can build your own Minimoog, Model 15 up to something similar like a system 35 or 55 etc.
The plate reverb module sounds very very good too!
Sadly, it seems a bit unknown (i hope i'm wrong).
The developer seems to working further on GUI, new modules and cross platform. Sounds very good. I have no problem that it's not so open ended and limited in number of modules (and instances of different modules) since i don't think i ever could go further with the other modulars without breaking my cpu
I really hope we see more in the future from Pulsar Modular. It shows that an independent developer could do it even better as Moog (sadly will never get such amount of attraction from the crowd).
