Sorry, didn't run the tests yet. I ran into some firewire issues with my interface and couldn't get things running for a couple of days. Will try tonight if possible, but no promises.

@ Compyfox
Calm down... Relax!

I read that over and over "yo, I have this version - it's secret - only shared 'internally' among special communities...". There is no Cubase 8 Pro crack!
It's public.

*pst - the VSL libraries roam the net since the existence of the samples! Even way before P2P sharing tools and Torrent*
It's not libraries... Do you read what I write? I didn't written "libraries". Again, stop making assumptions.

I think we have enough copy protection schemes at this point. Take your pick, from "lowest security", to "highest intrusion"
I never said it was a protection tool... Do you read what I do not write? Again, stop making assumptions.

You have some angriness inside you. You need to solve those... Just saying. Clearly you're not a kid, judging by your comments but you are blinded by your own thoughts. It seams you speak with yourself, alone. Best regards for you Compyfox.

PS - I like your name!

@koolkeys:
Thanks for testing, and good luck with your rig

I am relaxed and "without anger" - I do not want to have what you're currently having.

"Of course it is..."
That is still the Elements>Full conversion attempt, locked behind a "survey" and 20 popups.

Enjoy your spam

I'm not assuming anything, and you're penny pinching. So a couple of the tools are "cracked", the CP is Elicenser. Tell you what... big deal, because again... no news.

But please, insist on your superior knowledge, educate us infidels...
Oh wait, I should stop doing that... Apparently my sarcasm is equal to anger issues. L-O-L and all that.

Then learn to word your sentences better, because it's confusing as hell. Logic thinking, I heard that's all the rage these days.

Not commenting on the rest of your post, but whatever floats your boat... :tu:
*man, such a good late night laugh... Thanks for that*

...The people that did this, wanted to prove a point that it "is possible"...

Or was it actually one of those "private sharing" Russian page?

Comfyfox you know all to well for a person that wasn't "aware" of it in the first place. You're 17 years older than me, I should pay my respects. :hail: :phones:

The iLok "concept" of saving licenses in a USB, that's what I was talking about. I think I expressed myself alright... That doesn't mean it's a protection if there's no protection involved.

Just a curiosity if I may: Are you a developer?

Cue "Not sure if..." meme...

Then again, I've been in this realm/industry for over 20 years. I've seen the one or another thing... and I don't have a problem talking about topics/things that others might consider "unpleasant".

The way you meant was several things, the way you wrote it was one confusing sentence implying that you do work on a new Audio Unit that covers "copy protection". Just my 0,02c.

dc16 wrote:Just a curiosity if I may: Are you a developer?
Nope. But I do know a couple of developers (not only as software beta tester)
Like I said... you do get around over the course of two decades...

There goes another try to re-railing the thread!

Sorry compybox... It was my sub-conscience, like they say we only see what we want.
Nope.
Penny pinching, really. :phones:

could you just leave bonkynox alone and get back to the topic? :hihi:
everybody's free to use ilok-protected software or not. I do, and I even have (some) stuff on elicenser. on the other hand, I try to avoid c/r as much as I can. and I like developers who send out key files or just license strings. stay monocultural if you like. that won't keep others from doing what they find most convenient. period.

I'm sure wonkytox would agree... 8)

Honkyknox agrees :tu:

If the 4th gen iLock is wood - analogue synth end piece-style- I might start using dongled software.

Retro chic on my copy protection please.

Post

What type of exotic wood?
Rosewood, Cherry, Walnut, Yellow Marblewood, Bamboo, Teak?

Everything that complies with export rules and does not derive from endangered species. I for one am a big fan of cherry wood, but I wouldn't say no to a beech paneled protector ;)

Post

Just FYI, I just ordered my iLok3 from Amazon. So you can now get them shipped quickly and on the cheap and they're only about $5 more than the iLok2.

Post

Not happening for Amazon Germany.
Street price is still 49EUR, with delivery shortages from various music stores...

Maybe you guys pissed off The Donald?

Post

The whole pricing thing could indeed have something to do with the current state of the US. Grocery shop prices also rose. And I thought that after the stock market "drop" post election, that US exchange rate conversions will plummet.

Guess I was mistaken.
And this is where I'll end with this speculation. Political stuff belongs to HPC
