Touch The Universe wrote:Figured I'd mention it again in case it was overlooked, but a readout of all parameters would be great and cutoff read in hz and khz etc.
Don't worry, if you wrote ideas in previous posts, I already noted them.
Touch The Universe wrote:Also, have you ever considered maybe a master modulation page perhaps, where assignments would target all layers, or perhaps a few to choose from -- same with lfo's etc.
Yes, after the first mention I thought about something similiar. Some kind of saveable quick modifier module. There is definitely a place for something like that. Good to hear that people already think about workflow features. These kind of additions are relatively easy to add in comparision to synthesis features. There are always multiple ways to implement such things. I will think about ways that will be useful in the future.
Touch The Universe wrote:@ Parawave, which filter is most like the master filter? I love tweaking it and want to assign all filters to a macro to replicate the same feel, but not getting the exact same sound.
I think you misunderstood something. There is no master filter. The master Filter Modifier is a predefined macro that controls the cutoff of all layer filters. Imagine it the following way:
If the modifier is in the center, the value is 0%, to the left is -100% and to the right is +100%.
So if you set the filter cutoff modifier to +100%, internally it's adding a constant +1.0 offset to all layer cutoff values.

@RAPID:
ARTFX STUDIOS did a nice first impressions video. He's one who definitely gets the whole layering feature, so it's worth watching:

How about an offline manual? :?:
I notice that the online user guide is still a WIP, but I very much would like an offline manual as well!

:hihi: I love you chk071. If I ever end up wandering around in Germany, I would like for you to be my tour guide.

On another note, @Parawave, I would hope to see a tutorial for Rapid on Groove3.com. They tend to do currently released stuff and they are very helpful tutorials. I don't know the criteria for getting it going though. I will send them an email request to see how that comes about.

lol :D

Not sure if i got this right though... maybe it wasrather a suggestion to make an offline manual, not a question whether there are plans to make one or not.

Hey, I'm not ignoring you :wink:
Unfortunately I can't answer every question here, otherwise I would write 24/7. If I'm not responding, it's probably because the issue will be resolved or is not practical enough.

@Rapid:
MacOS X is looking good so far. Most DAWs work without problem. A few issues with Garageband and Logic (of course.. Apple). The outdated Apple Package stuff is not really helpful, but still steady progressing.

Show me music stuff you create with Rapid to cheer me up ;D

Well, well, one learns something every day ! ;) :clown:

@Parawave:

If you do decide to make only an online manual, fine, but please make it easy to download it for offline use (e.g. when you have a clearly delineated Help section one could download it using a web spider)

Frankly, I must say for that price (mine as well as the official one) one would've expected a finished User Guide upon release! :clown: :evil:

It definitely needs a .pdf manual. Online WIP or not my DAW is not online so it is useless to me. If it was completed .hmtl downloads is an option for now.

Rapid's GUI is probably my favourite GUI, bright and refreshing.

A new video from Aiyn Zahev. Quite a few cool sounds in there.

Now there's a great video!

You chose the right person to demonstrate & review this fabulous synth :clap: greetings to Sami aka Aiyn Zahev

Good video. I can feel the power of Rapid but I am so engrossed in making a track at the moment that I have not gone deep enough. When a sound designer/synthesist runs through things it suggests this is probably the last synth I need ! (yeah right, lol)

If I cannot do what I need with Rapid I may as well give up.

I really hope he does a sound set for it. He is in my top two sound designers.
