I think Guenon takes this one. Still can't believe what I heard.

My top 5, in order:
Toggleaudio - Monterey

Just because it's insane doesn't mean it's a bad idea.

Must say I like this round! Feels like we have more songs that are a bit "out there" than usual.. That's cool!
Hope I have time to give some feedback on Soundcloud as well..

And thanx for the kind words so far. :)
Analogue and digital alike - inside and outside the box. All good music is done with passion and love, not religious convictions!

Subject36, your track is a pearl. I have to say, though, I'm really shocked by how much this synth divides the enthusiasts from the masters. But how amazing those masterful tracks would get, alone in terms of sound. It's fascinating, because some of you really could not handle digits whatsoever and the most beautiful songs sounded like rubbish, while the music was from nice to absolutely beautiful. but others....pffff... GUENON completely lost his mind to make such a completely unbelievable masterpiece, what the hell was that! So, he's totally off through the stratosphere with his sound designs, like they don't even count anymore, hahaha... but what comes next are just a set of gorgeous songs with beautiful sounds and mixes. I'm not gonna name everyone, who I thought were incredible, but my 5 slot is far more packed than I had anticipated for Digits. All of them I genuinely enjoyed listening to, completely forgetting about the synth.

Well, this was the most surprising OSC synth and round to me. It even made me surprise myself, hehe. Anyway: Good Luck all!
I'm still voting a bit more...

Amazing tracks. I think the standards are really getting up there. The diversity is exciting, the quality is exhilarating and the creativity is inspiring and beautiful.

Well, the Digits creator should be pretty over the moon over many of those songs. The best of them should hide that it was Digits to avoid luring people into a very sad nightmare, as it did happen on a few songs here, too, hehe. :ud:

Anyway: BRAVO and Rock on! 8)

Hard month to choose. There was one track that stood out in terms of sound design pretty obviously, but wasn't necessarily enjoyable to me outside of that aspect, to be forthcoming. Some others made some really beautiful non-digitsy sounds, so congrats to everyone! Anyway a few tracks made it into the top 5 spot.

Hope to go back and comment on everyone's track, but quite busy this month with a bunch of different things, so sorry in advance if I didn't leave any feedback yet. Anyone looking for constructive criticism can PM me, as usual.

Cheers!

Soundcloud still gives me hard time to add coments so I write somthing here instead.

All I can say that #92 is insanely delicious round. People here are able to make human burp sounds like flute  . This also proves that all complains that comes from users about "limiting or imperfections" of (ANY) synth instruments are just complain about their inability.

Crazy presets, crystal sounds that come from this dirty synth (no offense to devs), seriously people here are awesome :tu:.

I gave 8 tracks 5pts, 7 tracks 4pts, 17 tracks 3pts, 3 tracks 2pts and 2 tracks 1pts (one of them is my). I simply cant add 5pts to all because there are some tracks that stand above others regarding mastering, presets and composition and those are 5pts tracks. All others with lower points missing something in one of these categories or it simply doesnt match my music style (people are picky you know).

Only one track with 1pts because I really dont understand its purpose. Not sure if this is some kind of musical sarcasm or I'm missing something here. It sound like 40 minutes of randomly generated blips, beeps made with some automated "music" generator. I really listen whole track but I simply cant find anything there (again no offense its just I dont get this one :help: ).

Taron, I read your comments here and on soundcloud, with a wide smile on my face :D, especially your remark on how rude it is to scream the f-bomb out loud, but you must, while listening to my track. Made my day, hahah! Thanks!

:borg: "FUDGE!"

+1 Well said -- I completely agree about the OSC group -- very talented (and friendly) people who make it a pleasure to participate!

Hehe - well "well said" ... I like it here - even if my occasional "lounge" style is not to everyones (anyones???) taste. But I enjoy the challenge, after the composition/style choices there's all the sound design and mixing/mastering process to get sort of right - great fun, and a real pool of knowledgeable talent here who are happy to chip in and help.

Thanks everyone ... this tricky synth really did show how good people are - a lot of work in a short time.

I made the random blips and bloops. I wanted to use this song made with the ipad version, https://soundcloud.com/opoint/phase847, but I could not find a way to prove it was the synth because....

1. I could not save the presets for each sound in a format compatible with the vst.
2. I tried video recording and recreating it but Ableton only supports quicktime and my cameras shoot .m4 which was crashing on render half the time with a very slow transcode render.
3. I tried to sync up the clips manually in Vegas and starting going mad.
4. I said screw this I'm not touching my mouse for a week and made the random thing without any other instruments thinking someone might download it and remix or sample.
5.To show the Digits synth in a context where 32 of them in an Ableton rack gave a 2 percent cpu hit and didn't crash or anything using Lemur.
6. To try and create something live with no editing using a controller.
7. Finally, I fricken lost my marbles!!!!

Hope that explains the 40 minute thing.

I did a track using a probalisitic "music" generator with only 8 instances of the synth in question ... an interesting (and musical) experiment.

Hope it's OK to re-post this here - sometimes experimental music can be quite interesting (QI!).
