That's a rather strange opinion about discussing new products.
As it is (for some people an important) part of the whole deal it's completely ok to discuss the copy protection as well.

Why the dongle discussion again? Wasn't it announced that the synth will be dongle-free? Or am I missing something?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Well if one would strip this thread of all "Man great synth", "nice vid", "OMG", "cannot wait" and other useless comments, we wouldn't have to wade throught 50 pages to find useful information about protection, price, release date.recursive one wrote:Why the dongle discussion again? This is not correct information. As far as I remember, not a single U-he plugin is properly cracked. They are all time bombed. You may THINK they are cracked, only to find out that half a year later it doesn't work correctly any more.. or even a year later.Taurus wrote: All u-he Plugins are cracked, so serial does not work.
U-he protection is pretty damn rock solid.

I remember reading posts hear at KVR from people asking about suddenly appearing, mysterious 'bugs' in Zebra 2. Amusing…bmanic wrote:This is not correct information. I have made YouTube video showing presets and what you can do with it.
Take a look!
Let me know what you think.

If true I think the developer has shot themselves in the foot not releasing a 32 bit version.
I am not proud to be on 32 bit but if you have an otherwise stable system which works for making music it is a pain to go 64 bit and needs just the right timing to take the plunge.

So you use a 32bit system for making music? Or a 32bit DAW? There's a difference about that.Synthman2000 wrote:If true I think the developer has shot themselves in the foot not releasing a 32 bit version.

which to me is fine for them, but don't complain when developers don't continue to develop for this surely archaic platform.HcDoom wrote:Hahah, good one!bronxsound wrote:^ lack of 32bit and no compatibility with win 3.1/95 will kill the product for sure
I amazed that people still use 32bit lol...
Aren't Logic and ProTools already only 64bit and others to follow?

64 OS and 32 DAW - Machine was purchased a long while ago and I installed things over a long time not having any serious intent to make music so was done with a rather relaxed attitude. It was right on the cusp of whether to stick out 32 or go 64. System works sweet except for memory so a bit of a case of the devil you know.2ZrgE wrote:So you use a 32bit system for making music? Hindsight is of course a wonderful thing.
I am not on my own and by some margin:

Anyway sorry to derail, just means this is a no go till the future switch whenever that might be. In part probably sour grapes I cannot check out the latest new synth.
