In the original synth and the current Repro-1 version destinations are sorted by oscillators (Osc A pitch + PW, Osc B pitch + PW) and the filter. Not too much confusing IMO.
drakmaniso wrote: Or even better, replacing a switch with a second knob (not only for the added possibilities, but also because it clearly separates interaction with sources and interaction with destinations):
While this would break compatibility with existing patches and original patch sheets i also see a few other possible problems related to using dedicated knobs for the direct and wheel modulation.
The compatibiity problem would be maybe possible to solve if you could switch between the original switches selection (as default) and the dedicated knobs.

We don't have a license to copy the original design. We just "take inspiration".

I was gonna contact him once we're finished.

The thing that I found confusing when I first used the synth was the lack of visual separation between sources and destination, especially since both uses switches. I think that simply adding a vertical line, though not very aesthetic, would clarify the modulation path.

As for the two knobs mockup, I know it's too late for such a change, it was just an example of another way to establish a UI distinction between sources and destinations.

For his blessing?

Not really. More for his entertainment. He thinks it's some kind of masochism to try and do this in software. I think he'll have a good laugh once he sees we did all that crap.

Please let us know what he thinks if he doesn't mind you telling us...or even if he does mind. :hihi:

just wanted to say that i figured it out and that the sequencer is working just fine. i think it was the "KEY" and/or "ALWAYS" settings (along with the play/trigger modes) that had me confused. i'll try to reply in more detail on the sequencer within the next few days if i have time to get into it. thanks again.

here's a handful of sequenced bass patches:
jbuonacc Repro-1 presets.zip
they're all set to "play", just send them a MIDI note (C3 for example) to start them running. got a bit lazy with the fx, they mostly all use similar settings. used sequencer velocity on both Perform slots to automate some parameters.

Loving the sound on this so far. I would definitely pay an extra $30-50ish for a poly big brother version. :)

Remind me again how long does the promo run?:
This [Beta] serial will be valid until the end of 2016.

Buy Repro-1 for 69$ (+ VAT in EU) (final price will be 99$ (+ VAT in EU), once officially release
If the beta serial is valid until end 2016, how can the official release be before that. And seeing that will not the intro price run until December 31 ?

Got the CPU down to less than Diva in Divine - we'll post that some time next week. There might be a good chance for a poly version next year, but we yet have to figure out what, how and when.

The promo runs for as long as it's in beta, which we aim to finish roughly end of November/early December.

The public beta download linked in our forum takes a beta serial which times out end of 2016. The final version won't accept that beta serial.

Both can overlap, which is sheer pragmatism.
